New Iron Man Posters
March 30, 2008
'Andrea' from BadTaste.it wrote us, saying:
Hi, we just received and published two Italian Iron man posters: one is the first teaser poster, the second is an Audi-Iron Man poster I still haven't seen around the web, so I guess it's brand new.
You can check them both out here. Iron Man hits theaters on May 2.

I'm so sick of this audi pro mo crap! If Iron man were a real person, he wouldnt drive some crap audi. Com on. A molti billion air drive a POS audi? LOL Stark would only be seen in a car no less than a Rolls Royce.

Speaking as a "molti billion air", I don't think the "molti billion air" community is used to taking advice from people who can't spell 'come' or is incapable of capitalizing proper nouns.

derp derp de derp, I used 'is' instead of 'are', irony ahoy, mateys.

I don't worry too much about the damn car since it's a movie. It's called product placement and its just a part of the movie industry. So what is the point in *****ing about it on the internet.

lol, nice work batman. This comments idea was stuff up on the part SHH , now every time i read a news bite I gotta see a bunch of retarded comments written by bed-wetting net-nerds(who can't spell) spouting **** that no one in real life cares enough to listen to.

Cant we all just get along?

I can't wait to see Hugo Weaving as Fing Fang Foom! I hope they spend about 3/4 of the I.M. movie focusing on Pepper's character. Gwyneth is the best actor in this flick . . . unless of course you look at Downey's work in "Disney's The Shaggy Dog" . . . just brilliant. And of course his past work in "Johnny B. Good" . . . but that's a given.

Duke: It's not a blog (or Weblog): it's a news site with a comments section.

And as a side note: The Audi is a VERY nice car. They are responsible for many innovations that are only much later picked up by Mercedes and BMW. Audi is usually at or near the forefront of luxury automotive design. The Audi is also more unique than the Mercedes, as almost EVERYONE has a Mercedes. So it makes sense that Tony would do something different. And lastly, We've already seen that Mr. Stark has a whole garage FULL of different cars. The Audi just happens to be his newest toy.

Oh, and it's not random - found it in the gallery on the article's given website.

Hey wouldnt it be cool if I could just pimp slap you both over the net? : )
Posted by: The Duke on March 31, 2008 at 13:38:53
And Audi sucks! it's a poor mans benz at best.

The Duke;
What kind of car would "The Duke" be caught driving? I'm just curious seeing as you're the ultimate expert on vehicles...And Audi's are FANTASTIC cars. You should listen to "John Doe".
PS: You are dumb. And probably ugly. And you suck. (LOL. This comment stuff is fun)

What's wrong with an Audi R8? It practically does Porsche 911 numbers in terms of performance, also last I checked the Audi mops the floor with the competition in Le Mans with their R8 and R10.
If you paid attention to the auto world, Audi has leap frogged Jaguar and is in tight competition with Mercedes and BMW in the luxury car department. Producing better cars at a better value.
I bet if some guy with a sideways hat and foil teeth sang and flicked his hands at the camera while standing in front of one, then it would be "cool", right?

The Audi poster looks fan-made IMHO.

Icap: Yeah it is fun.
I actually love cars, and I love to read on them. I enjoy shows like top gear, and read all the magazines that I can. I think if I could have any car it would be the Nissan GTR. I personally don’t care for the GTR, but for the money it’s the best super car on the market. Packing both legacy and innovation. The most that audi has to offer is the quarto technology. The company anticipates surpassing Mercedes benz by the year 2015 in sales and value. I don’t see this happening. Audi is a boring car unless you spend big bucks. Cars like the 350Z, and Infinity G37 are more fun with less $. The new line of Alfas being introduced to the US in late 2009 should be fun also ranging from $25K to $35K for a fully loaded Spider. And no I’m not ugly I’m actually a decent looking guy who competes regularly in the WNBF locally in California. But if it makes ya fell better.

and for the record I have a 95 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R. It cost me a lot of money to convert it, but its my baby.

correct me if i'm reading through this wrong, but it sounds like your (The Duke) trying to say that if a Man/woman has all that money he has to drive a certain kind of car..come on man, I work for a man who is a multi billion air, and his choice in what he drives is a fully restored Jag as his Daily driver, and 8 other street rods from the 40's, 50's, and 60's including an original Shelby Cobra.
that said i'd like to know where your coming up with your reasoning about what Stark, or any man would drive.
Posted by: The Duke on March 31, 2008 at 17:20:34
IIWUGoalie:
Point well taken. The image of tony stark in the comic nooks depicts a play boy billionaire with class and style. It’s my personal opinion that I find the R8 less than a marquee of vehicles he would drive on a day t day bases. Perhaps maybe if he knew he was going to wreck it in a battle of some kind maybe. I understand that all billionaire don’t drive a super expensive car. A good car doesn’t have to be super expensive to have sentimental value or heritage. What is irritating to me is how the trailers and advertisement make this car look as if it were Veyron. Self boasting and hype are not cool in my book unless the movie lives up to it. For example JJ Abrams super hyped Cloverfield movie. Even the most die hard of fans had to be a bit disappointing. It’s only a cop out to say that you cant make every one happy. Star wars was hyped and look at it today.
Batman i'm done with my home work do you want to grade it for me?
Posted by: The Duke on March 31, 2008 at 17:21:54
books not nooks sorry batman lol

So it's a car-ad disguised as a movie-ad. Woo-hoo.

Wonder what other product-placement we'll see in this flick...like maybe Iron-Man's fighting, but then he starts to stiffen up and lose the fight because he forgot to lube up with Pennzoil Brand Motor Oil! Maybe something like...
Iron-Man: "Arg! Joints stiffening! There's only one motor oil that can provide the SUPER-VISCOSITY I need to defeat the evil Dr. Valvolinius..."
[he pulls a can of oil from nowhere in particular and holds it center-screen, label first for a few seconds, and triumphantly declares...]
"Pennzoil Brand Motor Oil!"
Dr. Valvolinius [enraged]: "Nooooo! I would surely have defeated you, Iron-Man, were it not for the cursed high-performance quality you can depend on of Pennzoil Brand Motor Oil!'
Iron-Man: It's not just oil, villain! It's Pennzoil!"
Our hero promptly kicks the tar out of the evil Dr. Valvolinius & flies away. As he's flying away he sees a damsel-in-distress on the side of the road...her car is broken down. Brandishing another can of Pennzoil Brand Motor Oil, he winks at the camera and flies to her aid. He fixes her car, takes off her helmet and the girl passionately kisses him, saying "Oh thank you Iron-Man!"
He winks to the camera, displays his can of oil and says, "Thank YOU, Pennzoil Brand Motor Oil!".
He flies off again & we get a clear view of the Pennzoil logo embossed on his shiny, iron ass.
