No Fantastic Four 3?
Source:MTV
March 20, 2008

We're not really surprised by Chris Evans' comments to MTV, because 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios are leaning more towards a Silver Surfer spin-off with a script by J. Michael Straczynski than they are moving forward with a third Fantastic Four movie.

"I'm pretty sure we won't do [another] one," Evans said, adding that as far as he's concerned, it's "a closed book."

Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige last summer said the Silver Surfer movie had been "moved to the forefront" of discussions. And just last month, Straczynski said the spin-off will cover the origin of the character and will feature Galactus.

i'm glad they're not makin' another ff movie.both of them were pretty bad.i hope they'll do a good silver surfer.with jms in the script i have high hopes about this one.let's hope they'll reboot the ff franchice in a few years with a good cast and a decent director.

good news, they should get rid of tim story and wait for a few years to reboot.
still couldnt beleive the first two sucked so badly.

The best part of the ff2 was the trailer

I'll never understand why people seem to think that the first too were that bad, they certainly weren't the best "movies" I've ever seen, but as far as comic book adaptations go, they certainly weren't bad either...it could have been X3 or Spider-man 3 type bad, can we at least be grateful for that..? Good grief..not every movie based on a comic book is going to be a masterpiece, get over it.

When I was a kid I liked Silver Surfer and couldn't wait for a film, but still won't watch ff2.

Posted by: Master_Q on March 20, 2008 at 15:55:21

Nooooooooo! Just keep trying you can do it.

Awwww sooo sooo Sad Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha The first two Sucked ass the only reason why I watched it on DVD is because of jessica other than that the movie was for kids and it sucked both of them. Now Silver Surfer was cool the best thing that happend to the FF4 Maybe they need Christopher Nolan to make a darker fresher and action packed cooler FF4 But Im not sad they are not making another one. Oh well

PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!

the nightmare has come to an end.

... although i'm sure "silver surfer" will be even worse... like a 2 hr Capri Sun commercial...

Posted by: k18 on March 20, 2008 at 15:59:59

Oh well. There are other superhero movies to look forward to.

Posted by: Monkey Balls on March 20, 2008 at 16:00:02

I want Super-Skrull

Posted by: Mitch on March 20, 2008 at 16:01:52

Don't you think sometimes they should just let go of all these comic book movies? Just cause there were a few good ones doesn't mean they should do them all. Is Booster Gold next?

Posted by: ti on March 20, 2008 at 16:02:22

the best part about the ff films were when they were over

Posted by: PhantomDave on March 20, 2008 at 16:04:05

"I'm pretty sure we won't do [another] one,"

Best thing I've heard all day....thank god. Let the franchise die long enough for someone competent to do them.

I tend to agree with most of the comments here. FF and FF ROTSS were pretty bad. (The sequal more so than the first one) Their only redeeming qualities can be summed up in two words. Jessica Alba.

Yay!!!

Now all marvel has to do is get the rights back and reboot, reboot, REBOOT! Do it right next time marvel!!!!

Here's a novel Idea...stop doing these movie's in Live action Format and do them like Beuwolf or Final Fantasy...because the masses like most of the fools who post on here will never be satisfied with a Live-Action Super Hero movie. Doing them in an Animation form allows for the story and Character to remain true to it's roots.....and I have enjoyed all the Super Hero movies except for Catwoman which was 100% crap.

hi im disappointed they may not make number 3. I blame the tim story because hes not very good director not top a list director. his movies never box office hit! that proves that hes not very good director, 2 films are weak and not enough action. too much comedy and silly. the studio should have hire beast director peter jackson or james cameron and so on. they will make fantastic four very good solid movie and lots of action. they should know better. what a pity!

Posted by: Darth Revan on March 20, 2008 at 16:13:41

I hear they are doing a Venom Movie Ummmm Note to Columbia Pictures How about make a Three-quel of Maximum Carnage Yeah that should work Forget FF4 Sorry Jessica you are still beautiful

Posted by: Paul on March 20, 2008 at 16:14:09

FF movie was doomed when these words were uttered: "'Barbershop' director Tim Story will helm the Fantastic Four."

LOL @ Paul
