"I've said this before....there is nothing about this movie or promotion of this movie that will make me want to go see it. It looks dreadful."
Most everyone agrees, why does SHH waste time with this crap? A better question might be, why do I waste time clicking on here to complain about it?

Like the original Speed Racer was a real classic? Lighten up people! This looks like fun and campy eye candy. A great date movie. Oooh...a date movie and look where I'm posting... No wonder there's so many negative posts! ;)

This movie has nothing going for it. And a May release! It'll get squashed between Paramount powerhouses Iron Man and Indiana Jones.

must be a real slow day here on SHH...God this movie is going to suck hairy balls!
Hey tomorrow should be interesting, like what THE TODD say, first pics of Snake Eyes will be leaked out.

If you are all going to complain then why bother posting? Do you think people actually care about how much you think this movie will bomb? God, effing pissy fanboys and haters are the biggest losers ever.
I watched Speed Racer occasionally and I can say this movie does closely resemble the show. I wasn't gonna go watch it but, it looks better every time something new comes out.

meh, I wasn't a fan of the original and there are a plethora of other anime serials that could have benefited from the Wachowski Bro's attention, but it is well-done and it's staying true to the spirit of the series.
Perhaps this is going to test the Akira paradox, in which diehard fans want the adaption to be verbatim, however, that may not always be the best. We'll just have to see..

As a long time Speed Racer fan, I want to see this movie.

You all are total morons!
I don't even know why I read your comments because all you do is whine and complain about a movie that hasn't even been released yet! You know what? Some people are going to love it, and some will hate it! Same way with every movie EVER MADE!! By the way, when 30-50 people post a comment on a superhero news website and say this movie is going to bomb, do you honestly think you're reflecting a proper sample of the general population?? DON"T THINK SO!!
I will go see this movie, because you can't ***** about it if you HAVEN'T SEEN IT!!!!!

This movie already beat Iron Man for IMAX presentation, so I say it must be damn good to get to that status, at least better than Iron Man, and everyone here is looking forward to that one.
I'm especially looking forward to Speed Racer in IMAX because this movie is like Wipeout on wheels, and I love Wipeout.

I think it looks fun in a weird way. I just want to know why they're not using the original theme song in the promotions for this film. Now that's a bad idea.

I liked the character Racer X when I was a kid; the only character that was cooler was Race Bannon from the Jonny Quest show.
