I don't know, it seems kinda fun!!! I mean "it is what it is"!!! You can't take it seriously and just have fun with it!!!!!

I think that the point of the movie is to be dumb! It's called a slap-stick comedy for a reason. If there is a movie to leave your brain at home, it would be this one. As Deedog says, just enjoy it for what it is. Sometimes us "fanboys" can be a little too grim and serious. Take a break and laugh!

Speaking of Fanboys. What happened to that film?!? I did not see a release for it.

Hey Deedog and Cliff,I don't know if Superhero
Movie will be any good,it might be funny, but I
made my own superhero spoof that can be seen
on youtube.Just search for HOOTED AVENGER.
The Owl:The Hooted Avenger is a generic Batman
spoof that I wrote,produced,and directed.
You can also see it on my myspace page, feel
free to send me friends request and/or messages.I'm a big fan of Leslie Nielsen,so I
hope he he does a great job as the "Uncle Ben"
character he plays in Superhero Movie.I'm a fan
of Mel Brooks, the Zucker films, like Naked Gun,
and Airplane!,and don't forget the 2 HOT SHOTS!
movies.Let me know what you think of my short
film demo,The Owl:The Hooted Avenger,I made that film back in 2006.

Whether it's meant to be stupid or not, until the movie-going public stops going to see this dreg, the studios will keep making them.

I think the thing that pisses me off the most is that studios will spend their money producing these stupid pieces of crap, while a lot of really good scripts go by the wayside and a lot of great screenwriters never get the chance to get their films produced. It's a shame...

Look, I’m all for mindless humor and turning off your brain for 2 hours, but seriously slap stick comedy has not been the same since the 80’s. Just look at all of the recent spoof movies…not one you could say was worth the price of admission. Maybe it will justice for a netflix/blockbuster night, but certainly not worth a movie ticket (especially with the ticket prices today). I remember last month I went the movies one day and I got there early so I decided to sneak in to see Meet The Spartans to kill time….and I think I lasted 3 minutes and I had to bail. Spoof movies today are just complete garbage, you cant even put them in the same sentence with Naked Gun or Airplane.

my friend and i are protesting this ****.

were going to just make signs and sit out in front of our theater then beg people to go see something worth while.

Posted by: Cliff on March 17, 2008 at 13:14:56

I'll have to agree that many of the films are not the price of admission. Though I will probably download or rent it.

As Multiwizard points out, they will keep on making them as long as people keep watching. So there is an audience for this.

I don't agree with some artists having a career, but people like it/watch it/buy it. Would we like it if people tried to take away the things we like in our niche market? No. So, even if I don't like it someone else does.

You are kidding, right? Aren't there better things to go out and protest against? If you see it and don't like it: tell your friends, right about it on reviews, call someone.

Protesting? A movie? Please tell me that you are being sarcastic.

There are worse things in life than a bad movie.

grantino:

How about this, don't go to the movie at all? If you don't like something, don't pay for it!!!! This movie is made by the same directors and the same people, and like a bad Uwe Boll movie, someone out there will go see it. When people stop spending there money on it, then they will stop making it but I wouldn't make this a deep issue man!!!

I understand that these movies are supposed to be silly and nonsensical, but they just aren't entertaining to me. I've seen at least half of the last few to come out, but I just get bored and go do something else. These kind of movies can be fun if they're done correctly. These, however, are pretty damn lame.

That being said. Go see the movie if you think you'll enjoy it. Don't go see it if you don't want to. No need to get riled up about anything.

SUPERHEROES ARE A JOKE. THIS MOVIE IS TRUTH

Posted by: Jason Marsh Larouche on March 17, 2008 at 19:21:50

I'm just still trying not to bust a gut at that kid at the end calling himself the Incredible Black C$*#$ck. LMFAO! No I'm not going to see it because it basically bastardizes my boy Spider-Man, but damn that scene and the Invisible Girl scene is HILARIOUS!!!

Posted by: sisyphus1955 on March 17, 2008 at 23:02:29

The site may be live but the movie looks like a toilet floater. Too many cheap and easy gags. Let's all go see a movie that might be funny for about two weeks before everyone forgets all of the pop culture that it references. Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Superhero Movie are all irrelevant already before they hit theaters. At least the Airplane movies and Hot Shots movies are still hilarious on their own terms and aren't full of desperate to be funny shots at far better movies.
