Full Speed Ahead for Justice League
February 26, 2008
Now that the writers strike has been resolved, Warner Bros. is pushing ahead with its plans to make Justice League in time for a 2009 debut, reports Variety.
Warners tried to get the big screen adaptation into production earlier, but put it on indefinite hold in January, allowing the cast options to expire. At the time, the studio said it didn't want to move ahead until the screenwriters had another shot at the script.
Writers Kieran and Michele Mulroney are busy polishing up the script, which is expected back at the studio in several weeks, and the cast has been advised to keep training for their superhero roles. Director George Miller is in pre-production in Australia.
Adam Brody, cast as the Flash, is the biggest star in the superhero lineup. Rapper Common nabbed the Green Lantern role; other roles went to lesser-known actors such as Armie Hammer Jr. (Batman) and Megan Gale (Wonder Woman).
The trade adds that Justice League, based on the DC Comic, is a huge priority for the studio and considered a launching pad for future superhero projects down the line.

First!
And.... NOOOOOOOOO!!!
I'm actually gonna elaborate on this one: Batman & Superman not being played by Bale & Routh, sucks. This is going to come off as a bastard child of some sorts.
But I'm down for Brody as the Flash.

Horrible.
Put this one back on the casting call.
Really what they should be doing is what marvel is gonna try to do with the avengers and give all the characters their own movie before doing a team movie.

Yea i am glad the film is back on track. I do hope though hammer isnt bats in the end. Only thing knocking him down is he is way to young to play the character. But he has a deep voice and probably would look very intimating in the batsuit standing at 6'5ft tall. Also hopefully we get someone decent for superman role. I really hope that DJ cotrona guy isnt supes he is all wrong for the role. I rather take welling, even routh or i would be fine with that scott porter guy who's name was in the rumors again lately. Hopefully we get it straight soon on who is who.

DC SUX AND THIS MOVIE IS GONNA PROVE IT !!!

this movie is gona suck. and let me tell u why it is going to suck. for one, superman is a light colored super hero. hes a very publis person when it comes to him and his powers. hes a people person. not that thats bad. batman on the other hand is a very dark super hero who likes to be hidden in the shadows and not a very public person. he likes to keep to himself. and what people feer most is what they cdant see. and that is why light and dark will never go toghether.

Im not feeling this one. The kid playing Batman (and I do mean kid)looks like a Robin. The girl playing wonder woman looks like a toothpick. and the kid playing the flash looks like a hobo. Whats next? Zack Efron as super man, and the kid who played Mclovin as the green arrow. Plus If you go to IMDB the writers have no experience. Jeez I think this is a disaster in the making

Yea, I really dont know what to think. Im excited but also a bit nervous with casting and how quick they are moving with it and its from the guy who did happy feet. No Hal Jordan and no Martian Manhunter? Only time will tell.

Honestly the only good thing about this movie is Common as Jon Stewart. Watch American Gangster. Adam Brody is no Ryan Reynolds who IS the Flash to me. No Bale, no Batman. Routh is hit or miss, but I would like him or Welling. Maybe it will tank so bad people will know what to do with this kind of movie.

Even as a hardcore DC fan, this movie should never be made, unless it was done right. Warner's just trying to vomit this out before the Avengers movie hits.
Marvel's got it right. Use the actors who played the heroes in the solo films to play the same characters in the team films.

Come on! You can't have a Justice Movie with out Christian Bale or Routh. By me doing this anyway even make a difference? I'm a little disapointed.

Are you people kidding me? This is the JUSTICE LEAGUE, and Warner Brothers has shown a higher agenda with making some better movies based on their heroes lately. They want to capture the popularity of the animated series for the big screen, and I think they deserve a chance. Folks, quit judging these actors by the still photos you've seen, you can't judge how they're going to perform by that! Let's just wait and see how this shapes up, it's too early to start bombing this project before they even launch it. Goddammit, I hate fanboys!!

Please don't make this movie. I really think there's only five people who care to see it. I just don't buy this as being believable at all.

And another thing----people keep saying that DC should make several individual solo movies BEFORE doing the Justice League film. Let's think about this, people, if we WANT a Justice League movie, that's not the way to go. If the individual movies are extremely popular, then the actors will make a JUSTICE LEAGUE film to expensive to film and probably impossible because of the busy schedules they will all have. If the individual movies tank, a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie won't happen either. They're doing this the right way. They once said the X-MEN could never happen either, and although I love my Marvel character, the JUSTICE LEAGUE is a bigger star extravaganza than the mutants are.....let's just all hope for a treat at the theater, 'kay?

All you whiners should reserve your judgement until AFTER the film is released. Warner is gonna do it with or without your approval so just sit back and enjoy (or hate it) after it's released. Pffft! You all know you're gonna watch it so just shut it!

I'm more interested in seeing the costumes than the actual film itself.

Not doing separate movies for each character before venturing into this endeavor is going to be catastrophic. No background, no fan base for the characters that will need them like the flash and martian manhunter, I can almost promise the script not being epic enough to have all of these heavy hitters in it. I am going to go see it, and unlike other "whiners" i guess we've been labeled, I hope I'm so wrong that it hurts my pride. I just believe that without having good movies to back up the individual characters the mythos is lost to everyone that isn't a comic book fan, and sorry to say, we dont make up the real money needed for these movies to be a success. The art is what im worried about, whether it be cinematic or simply the importance of myth in all these characters. I am sad that Ryan reynolds isn't the flash. Superman should be redone, Bale as not batman just makes me worry that its going to be Smallville on the big screen (not worth 13 dollars). LIke i said, I hope Im so wrong it hurts. I hope it blows my socks off. I will just have to wait till we see something from the productions.
The only storyline epic enough to work for all these characters is the braniac luthor from JLU season 4 from what ive seen. There are more than enough comic stories, but to understand dc storylines you kinda need 15 years of backstory. Please dont sum this one up to special fx of people flying and taking bullets like superman returns

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Why don´t they just bury this movie six feet under?!? Disaster is written all over it! Long live Nolan and The Dark Knight.
