New Wolverine Set Photos

We've received two new photos of sets for X-Men Origins: Wolverine in New Zealand. The first is a photo of the old Milburn cement works at Burnside, Dunedin, and the second is a barn that was constructed at Arcadia Station east of Glenorchy.

Following those two are photos snapped off-set of Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) (with personal trainer Michael Ryan, in light blue polo shirt), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth) (with girlfriend/actress Naomi Watts) and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) (with boyfriend/actor Steven Strait).

I don't have very good feelings about lieve schreiber playing sabertooth. Not to sure if he'll have the look or the sound for him, but we'll leave it to see. I would like someone a little bigger also.

Is it just me, or does Sabretooth look like he has to take a dump?

Posted by: anteros on February 17, 2008 at 00:27:08

New Zealand shots remind me so much of Origin.

Live is like 6'4, Mmajosh. How big can you hope?

Liev looks like i must look when i'm holding a dump in, taking deep breaths and such.

can't wait to see them opposite each other on screen

probably gonna be another x-men 3 :(

Posted by: JJExciter on February 17, 2008 at 01:38:40

How are they going to explain the size difference of Sabretooth in X-Men 1 and the Sabretooth in this new Wolverine movie? Clearly Schreiber is not the size of Tyler Mane.
Anyone have any ideas?

Posted by: Nando on February 17, 2008 at 01:40:23

why couldn't they just have Tyler Mane return as Sabertooth.

I don't think Liev can pull it off.

WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST HAVE CHRISTOPHER REEVE RETURN AS SUPERMAN ? C'MON, TYLER MANE WAS AN OAF IN X-MEN. SABERTOOTH HAS WAY MORE PERSONALITY THAN THAT. ANYONE IS AN IMPROVEMENT FROM HIM. THE MOVIE IS GONNA BLOW ANYWAY. ELEKTRA 2 ANYONE ?

Posted by: JJExciter on February 17, 2008 at 01:59:30

Wait a minute. That's not my question. Who cares about Tyler Mane?! But the character of Sabretooth is still supposed to be much bigger than Wolverine. This guy Schrieber is the same height as Jackman. Why would they do that to the Sabretooth character? This director must have something up his sleeve! At least I hope!

Posted by: ImmrtlofDrknss on February 17, 2008 at 02:19:46

People, you need to remember that Tyler Mane was wearing platforms to add to his massive frame. Who's to say that Schrieber isn't going to do the same? And let us not forget all the funny camera tricks that they can do to trick the audience into believing. Vinnie Jones also wore platforms in X-Men 3, he's only 6'2", and he looked like a giant (can't say his acting was all that great, but that's beside the point).

Liev Schreiber is very talanted actor and he has an amazing voice. I'm not a big X-Men fan but I believe this movie is going to be awesome!

Posted by: tableofcontents on February 17, 2008 at 02:53:52

You can't really complain about height. Wolverine is suppose to be like 5'4". I highly doubt Jackman is that short, and it would have been ridiculous to cast someone that was.

Cool!

Posted by: WhySoSerious on February 17, 2008 at 03:47:02

They'll probably do trick photography on Liev like they have been going on Schwarzenegger and Stallone back in the day when we all know how tall they really are. Hell! Lord of the Rings! Gandolf in real life is not four feet taller than Frodo...think about that. Oh yeah...and make-up does wonders too.

Posted by: Lucus on February 17, 2008 at 04:51:29

wasnt Eddie Brock way bigger than Peter Parker in the comics? yet in S3 they cast Topher Grace because of his similar build to Toby! this is the same thing!

Posted by: Kyle Entwistle on February 17, 2008 at 04:59:03

Look at those mutton chops! Yeah Liev!

Posted by: Bored on February 17, 2008 at 05:19:46

i think the problem is that jackmans too tall to be wolverine as opposed to schreiber being too short to be sabertooth. either way i think theyll do fine.
