Batman's Other Ride in The Dark Knight
Source:MTV
February 15, 2008

MTV has posted the following:

Batman has the Tumbler when he's donning his cape, but what does he drive when he's out of uniform? Thanks to Mattel, now we know. We got a first look at Bruce Wayne's super Lamborghini filled to the brim with weapons and other crazy features when we dropped by for Toy Fair 2008.

You can watch it in action at the link above. Also, don't miss these pics of the Batpod and new toys.

What's better than a Lamborghini?

A Lamborghini with machine guns.

i had the same toy about ten years ago. just a little different. i think it was still a Lamborghini, but it was black, had no spoiler, and the windshield was freaking huge. i belive it was merchandise from the 90's TAS.

Bat-man's other ride is ... your mom! (Actually it's the motorcyle, no personal attacks to anyone who posted above or after)

HA damn haveing that bike would make it really fun to get to work

Posted by: Why So Serious? on February 16, 2008 at 04:40:53

i prefer the tumbler... it's sooo much kick-ass than this lame bat-pod or sth...

Posted by: KnightWatchman on February 16, 2008 at 06:42:28

When are these movie clowns gonna get it right, NO GODDAMN GUNS!!
kind of important to the batman charachter...
Its Tim Burtman all over again, Batnolan, whatever you wanna call it, just don't call it Batman.
The bat-pod is even more of a let-down than his suit this time around, wouldn't ride it if you paid me, Tumbler all the way.

the car should be yellow or something, and then when it turns into the tumbler (in the film at least) they use special effects to turn it black

Actually, KnightWatchman, the Batman character has used guns several times in the past. See the classic "The Dark Knight Returns" comics by Frank Miller, and the older series from the '40s. And I quote, from Wikipedia

"The first issue of Batman was notable not only for introducing two of his most persistent antagonists, the Joker and Catwoman, but for one of the stories in the issue where Batman shoots some monstrous giants to death."

looks pretty badass! I cant wait to see what Nolan does with that in the film.

Posted by: uselesspoop on February 16, 2008 at 10:57:56

you know I would have to say this is cool, but for the oddest reason you can barely make out the damned car. I mean for real if your gonna show the public something exclusive get a better cameraman.

Posted by: MisterPL on February 16, 2008 at 11:49:05

Relax.

Yes, the Lamborghini appears in the movie.

No, it doesn't transform. That's just a function of the toy.

Posted by: Dalton C. on February 16, 2008 at 12:48:31

they so0o had that same exact toy for batman returns! hahaha i still have it and im looking at it now!

still nice tho ...

Posted by: Rick S. on February 16, 2008 at 15:26:24

A Lamborghini with guns... Granted, this is just for the toy. But how ironic that Batman doesn't use firearms but Bruce Wayne does :p

Posted by: Ben on February 16, 2008 at 15:45:39

god damn it, this isn't james bond!

Posted by: yoyomom on February 16, 2008 at 16:20:23

Batman didn't use guns in the Dark Kinght Returns. It was a grappling hook rifle. Besides, 98% of his history he doesn't use guns.

Posted by: Luis on February 16, 2008 at 17:35:36

I have seen some comic issues with batman and bruce with guns, plus so what?? stop nitpicking cuz what if he uses the guns in the bat-pod/this new car to destroy things he needs to or enemy cars with guns or to scare enemys and sutff? just watch the damn film first

Posted by: Samurai Swoosh on February 16, 2008 at 17:41:24

Batman doesn't use guns on people, he does use guns to blow out walls and tires and crap like that.

Posted by: MisterPL on February 16, 2008 at 19:06:18

"Batman didn't use guns in the Dark Kinght Returns."

Yes he did, but with a grin he thought, "Rubber bullets. Honest."

Posted by: knightwatchman on February 16, 2008 at 19:36:24

LOL! yeah i thought i would hear back about DK and the early issues, but both are non-canon as far as current dc continuity is concerned.
Stupid to get so cheesed about a movie, but goddammit, i love the comics, and want to see them get it right, and they are sooo close, Bale is awesome and Ledger, god rest his soul, seems to have pulled off a totally kickass joker.
still gonna be there on opening night.don't get me wrong.

Posted by: Knight Rat on February 17, 2008 at 01:10:07

The name is Wayne...Bruce Wayne....Sounds like a 007 cool ride!

Posted by: Bat-fan313 on February 17, 2008 at 02:08:20

Those of you who said Batman doesn't use guns: Read his first appearance comic from 1939(Detective Comics #27).He did indeed use a gun and killed a guy by throwing him in a acid base valve. This batpod will be the closest batman adaptation you people will ever get, yet. SO stop yer' whining!
