Update: Justice League on Hold Until After Strike
January 17, 2008
UPDATE: Both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Warner Bros. Pictures let the options lapse on Tuesday for the cast members, which included D.J. Cotrona, Adam Brody, Anton Yelchin, Common, Teresa Palmer and Megan Gale. The studio cited script issues as the one of the causes and the other is that the project needed tax breaks from shooting in Australia.
According to IESB, this report was indeed accurate. It looks like Warner Bros. Pictures made the decision yesterday to put George Miller's Justice League on hold until the production can do a script rewrite after the writers strike ends. Reports had said the cast was on location and the crew was ready to go if they had been given the green light.
The site says that the production will have to wait until at least June, but if the writers strike (and possible Screen Actors Guild strike) continue for a long time, it could be much later.
Warner Bros. Pictures had yet to officially confirm any cast members for the superhero team-up movie that is expected to include Batman, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern.

I think that it is better to have the same actors doing the same role in any other movie when it comes to a team up!
what happened when batman and robin went to team up in a movie, how many batmans have there been in the past few years, how many superman are there in movies,?
I think a big hit justice league, not just a movie an epic movie like a two or three sequel movies with an outstanding screenplay and story, and after this do the solo movies.
Superman was out for almost 20 years or so, was batman out that long, no history says that a good character with a good story for a movie hit is always welcome.
I am up for the challenge for a superman movie, are you?

I heard that this movie might be set after Superman dies and Batman leaves. Good so that way Bale and Routh can be the only Batman and Superman.

My Perfect Cast:
Superman:Brandon Routh
Batman: Cristian Bale
The Flash(Wally West): Ryan Renolds
Green Lantern (John Stewart): Avery Brooks
Wonder Woman: Terry Farrell
Martian Manhunter: cant deside who do him justice
Hawk Girl: SUCKS AND SHOULDNT BE IN THE MOVIE!

how about a movie told mostly thru flashbacks a la citizen kane? Set in 2050, Batman has died alone in his manor (he's the only normal 'human') and the others gather to remember past crimefighting days. And its revealed that he impregnated wonder woman, creating batwonderwoman man.

Shia LaBouf for the Flash. That would be epic. FACT!

I agree with Gold Spinner. There is a fan made film "Grayson" that you can watch the trailer for on YouTube, and read the screen play online as well. Its basically about Batman being murdered and an older, retired **** Grayson is determined to find his killer. Its really amazing screenplay. You should check it out!
