In a Happy New Year's message to fans on his official website, Transformers director Michael Bay wrote:

For the millions of viewers that logged on this year I want to thank you for the support. Transformers 2 will be coming soon. The new robots are really really unique and there are a lot of them this time.

Paramount/DreamWorks is planning a June 26, 2009 release for Transformers 2. Transformers was the third-biggest film of 2007 domestically with $319.2 million and fifth-biggest worldwide in 2007 with $706.5 million.

I'm hoping that Transformers 2 will be better than the original, I can't wait to see what Micheal Bay has up his sleeve for the next one.

Wow, what a bottle of haterade you are, Wyngarde. While I agree there was barely a plot and the robot pee thing was dumb, this is a Michael Bay movie is it not? You seriously expected anything resembling character development and solid story structure?

If you did, shame on you. I didn't but then again I did not go to see TF for any of that. I saw it for the same reason everyone else did: Big freakin robots kickin butt. (which they did)

"Maybe this time, there will be robots in it for more than one scene. It's so painfully obvious that Bay hates the robots." ?!?!

Were you watching the movie? 2/3rds of that movie was all Robot action.

Less humans and planet Earth, more transforming robots and Cybertron. But if he isn't going to do Dinobots or combiners then what's the use?

Wyngarde..... just shut the f*** up! Obviously YOU are the one who dont know what youre talking about! "Its obvious Bay hates robots" - Hes a big TF Fan and thats why they took him to do this movie. "Maybe this time, there will be robots in it for more than one scene" - DID YOU EVER SEE THE MOVIE ACTUALLY?!?!? Dude - watch the movie, and if you did already - stop talking such a bullsh***

Don't worry Ray, No Dinobots!

i agree with wyngarde, TF was TERRIBLE! and anyone who actually enjoyed that movie is obviously retarded.

The second movie will feature a giant robotic ***** that transforms into Michael Bay.

"i agree with wyngarde, TF was TERRIBLE! and anyone who actually enjoyed that movie is obviously retarded."

Wow, such a factual and mature response. I'm so proud of you. *Clap Clap Clap*

Now here's one for you...

YOU HAVE INSTANTLY FAILED. If you can't be civil when you talk to people, then keep such an opinion to yourself. You're coming off as an oxygen thief with this response.

That is all.

Who cares. Transformers SUCKED from the moment Michael Bay's name came up at the first meeting. Talentless hack.

I'm just joking.serious the movie could been a lot better though. The only two autobots that look the best were ironhide and ratchet.I could understand them because they both look like **** as in there original form as toys.and as for jazz. He sounded real ghetto I can't believe they got eddie winslow from famiymatters to be the voice of jazz.
