Director Louis Leterrier Talks Hulk
November 28, 2007
Wizard magazine has published a new interview with The Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier in which he talks about the villains in the film. Here's a clip:
"Obviously, General Ross is the villain, so he had to be in it," added Leterrier. "But the Abomination, Emil Blonsky, was who Marvel wanted to put in this chapter—the first chapter of our new saga—because he's the most famous. He's an enemy that can actually threaten the Hulk. It's very important for me that there is a danger. When Bruce Banner is Hulk, I didn’t feel in Ang Lee's 'Hulk' that there was any threat. He was invincible. So with Abomination there's actually a monster that can, you know, kill him when he's in the Hulk form."
Go here for the full interview!
Starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt, Tim Blake Nelson, Christina Cabot, Lou Ferrigno, Martin Starr and Ty Burrell, the movie hits theaters on June 13.

I’m a fan of Louis Leterriers movies, especially Unleashed, But I’ve heard rumours the Theatrical version of The Incredible Hulk, has been cut and edited considerably short compared to Louis’s and Edwards take on it. Let me tell you that I will go see The Incredible Hulk. I’m looking forward to it, but I would have preferred the longer version. The one claiming to be nearly 3 hours long. I know realistically no studio would allow such a long cut with a film their trying to revamp and make money off of, But they should’ve considered a cut at least 2 hours and 20 min.
I’ve also heard rumour that there is over 70 minutes of footage; Mr. Letterriers plan on putting on the Blue Ray DVD’s. Is that footage actually in an extended version or just Deleted Scenes, I would prefer the extended version, all the way. If not, What will it take for the filmmakers to put together a extended version with that footage in it, Because it just seems silly to me to put 150 Million dollars into a movie such as this and only put out 90 Million on, theatrically. Also, is it possible to do an extended version for the regular DVD release, maybe put the movie on the first disc and the special footage on the 2?
thanks
