David Dobkin Takes on The Flash
October 28, 2007
MTV learned on Saturday at the junket for director David Dobkin's Fred Claus that Warner Bros. has signed the helmer for The Flash. Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) and David Goyer ("Blade" films) were previously attached to direct.
Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) says his adaptation won't be the character's first appearance in theaters, with the Flash a major part of George Miller's Justice League movie. Dobkin confirmed that his movie will be set in the same universe as Justice League as a direct spin-off.
He added that the Flash they will use is "Wally West."
Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, The Flash has the ability to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes and violate certain laws of physics, like time travel.

Cool!!! I can't wait to see more DC heroes on the big screen! The Flash rocks! I hope Adam Brody (if that's who they go with) does a good job!

Wally West is the best of all the Flashes. Hope that the movie has all the major Rouges in it: Captian Cold, Mirror Master (Evan McCulloch not Sam Scudder), Weather Wizard, Heatwave, Trickster, and maybe even Gorilla Grodd or Zoom. Hope they stay true to the comics.

this is positive. however the Flash has some of the dumbest villains ever, and they certainly won't transfer to film very well. Zoom and Gorilla Grodd would be the best choices.
for a name like Captain Cold or Weather Wizard to be spoken on the big screen and it not be for a children's movie, would be an inglorious laughing matter.

This is from two years ago. Funny how these other DC characters movies never get made. Warner Brothers suck.

I'm kinda cold on this one right now...
For all Warner Bros success with Batman, they can't seem to get anything else right. Hopefully Green Lantern fixes that.
Time will tell.

Hey Smokingpotisnotacrime, I totally agree with you. The villains names for The Flash were so lame. It seems like they used some 10 year old kid to come up with there names.
Another reason why i read Marvel more than DC
