MTV chatted with The Dark Knight star Christian Bale who said that Heath Ledger's take on The Joker will be darker than previous versions:

"...certainly I think that we dig a little more than the other movies did... We recognize, of course, they are cartoon characters, [but] we try to ground them in somewhat more reality than the other movies."

It was held off out of respect to the producers and so that SHH can have access to the next Batman film, Joker.Or should I say Clown Prince?

Cool! I've walked over this bridge tons of times! The first season of Family Matters features the family riding their bikes over this bridge during the opening credits.
