First Look at The Joker... Kinda?!

Scooper 'pictaker' took these photos of what looks to be Heath Ledger on The Dark Knight set. Ledger plays the Joker in the highly-anticipated sequel to Batman Begins, which is currently filming for a July 18, 2008 release. The Chris Nolan-directed movie co-stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Have a bit more respect for the man.

I really do look forward to seeing his portrayal of Joker, despite the fact that this was his last performance before his unfortunate death due to incorrectly mixed medications. They seem to be taking a very different approach to the Joker this time and based on photos, he really looks the part.

My sincere condolences to Mr. Ledger's loved ones left behind. I hope that this final performance will be truly one to remember.

ok that david dude has some serious issues. personally, i love heath ledger and if you have a different opinion on him,fine. cool. but calling him a dead moron is completely disrespectful. plus if you thought he was such a dead moron why were you on here to begin with? just to be rude? get a life.

heath ledger was a great actor he should be respected alive or dead he will be missed cause he was great and its a tragedy if any person dies like that you shouldn't disrespect a man that hasnt done any harm to you or to anybody you know

ah don't worry fellas. david really doesnt feel that way about Mr. Ledger. When he was a kid his dad went to jail for grand theft auto and his mom became a drunk. he's just seeking attention because he was never given a hug as a child. but anyways Heath will be sorely missed on my part. I thought he did a bang up job as the Joker

Can i just say...that it doesnt look like he said "heath ledger is a dead moron."----it looks like he said "heath ledger is dead moron." As an attempt to call someone else a moron for not knowing that he's dead. Still not the best way to go about things, but also not speaking ill of the dead. Secondly....Everyone is so mad about him saying "whatever" it is he said that you are too busy talking about him to talk about Heath Ledger....the genius behind the newest Joker. That man deserves serious recognition, even in the after life for this role and all others. And surely he deserves more than ignorant, incessant fighting on a web page thats supposed to be honoring him.

I thought Heath did an amazing job as the joker, it was a fantastic movie, and I would watch it again and again and again. It makes me really sad to think that he will probabaly win lots of awards based on his performance of the Joker and he wont be able to get them. I love Heath Ledger and he was amazing.

this is my first visit to this site as I am only here to find out when this terrific movie comes out on DVD but since I am here let me just say that David person needs to get a freakin life. I am suprised he even knows how to turn on a computer much less post a comment. What a BASTARD!!!! My guess is that he hasn't been laid in a while and probably won't be.

I have to agree with jen on this note. It seems that all anyone wants to do is complain about a foolish misunderstanding that someone posted instead of paying honor to an amazing actor who has set the bar for future psychosis. Ledger was astounding, and that is what should be noted, not that somebody felt the need to make a dumb comment. If everyone here truly is a fan of Ledger's iconic take on The Joker, why not honor that instead of focusing on what everyone else has to say

Heath Ledger would deserve every single acting award known to man for his portrayal of The Joker. It trascends, it blows you away, it creates a horrifying expectation when not on the scenes and it terrifies you when he is there... GENIUS, ABSOLUTE ACTING GENIUS... R.I.P. Mr. Ledger. the dark knight was the BEST movie i've ever seen, and heath ledger is soooo amazing as the joker. personally i he is the best actor ever and i luv him!!!!rest in peace heath and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends and especally to his daughter.hope everyone liked the movie cause i sure did!!!!:)
