The CW has released three more TV spots and a bunch of photos for the ninth season of "Smallville" which premieres Friday, September 25th at 8/7c. You can check them all out below!

Looks downright badass. This version of the Superman myth is finally coming into its own, and there's nothing the Superman haters can do about it.

By the way, I think that's a 9mm Chloe's holding. Anyone know for sure? I don't know that make of gun.

Didn't like that much about this suit, but I think that's the pursose. They didn't do it as permanent suit, it's just like the first Spidey suit on SM1.

Last season was one of the best and I'll be catching up on September 25th!

This version of Zod which we'll see in Season 9 is a much younger version. Infact I read or heard somewhere that he's actually like Major Zod here, meaning he hasn't even received the General rank yet making him General Zod!

Didnt Milton Fine/Brainiac,call him GENERAL Zod? Kara called him GENERAL Zod.

As you can clearly see,Zod is wearing a black jacket. Every Kryptonian wears the same outfit. So Clark isnt a Neo,or Punisher ripoff. As some 'bright' people claim.

So Zod in this, is some type of Military guy?

He is wearing a Military outfit here. But on other pics Ive seen,he is wearing what Clark wears. The black trenchcoat.

The costume is alright for a first costume.
Hopefully by the end of the season though they will put him in some form of the final suit.
ZOD is a miltiary guy. always has been.

Brian Austin Green looks great as Metallo. Nice makeup work.

If people can't get over the fact that Tom Welling is Superman and that the mythos goes beyond The Matrix or Iron Man, then DON"T WATCH! Smallville has explored the mythos wonderfully!

It would be nice to see brucewayne make a cameo in smallville. Could have seen green as wayne instead of metallo. And zod should at least have the goatee...KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!!!!

the matrix comments aren't clever anymore. i laughed when the first person had said it. But it's not funny. All that comes to your mind when you see a trench coat is Neo? Really? A lot of you are just very uncreative. Okay for instance...i'll break it down a little here. yo mojojackson... I'd hope to god that nobody else on this board would be able to answer your question about what kind of gun is being held in that picture. The fact that you're even curious makes me a little nervous to be honest. Bad enough most of these people on here aren't funny when they're throwing jokes around. matrix is a warner bros. franshise..and so is superman/smallville, there's even a commet on matrix reloaded "he's doing that superman thing" or something like that, so.....there's a similarity somewhere!...smallville still rocks!

Wow, regardless of one's opinions on guns, I'm surprised that there's someone on this baord that doesn't know that there are indeed people who know about guns. It's too bad that you think someone having knowledge of guns automatically makes them dangerous. It may relieve you to learn that, gun or no gun, ignorance is far more dangerous that knowledge.

Incidentally, I'm beginning to suspect that the type of gun she's holding may not be a real type, but more of a model invented by the prop department, kind of like the extended-barrel style of 1911s the Company uses on Heroes. At any rate, I'm pretty sure it's a nine.

They are experimenting with making Superman a more dark and brooding figure. They are trying to make him more like batman because the Dark Knight did so well. They have him in all black standing atop a skyscraper and then dropping down of the tower to save someone. It's right out of batman. So lame...
