As it has been doing for all of its recent releases, Columbia Pictures is streaming the premiere for Hancock live tonight and you can watch it using the below widget. The premiere starts at 6:30pm Pacific Time and the Live webcast will start running at 6pm. After the premiere ends, the widget will run a premiere wrap-up piece. Opening in theaters on Tuesday at 7pm, Hancock stars Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.
In related news, the studio has launched a contest for Hancock to pay off a family's home mortgage. Hancock's Helping Hand Mortgage payoff contest was inspired by the film. Hancock is a misunderstood superhero who is encouraged to improve his public image when he meets a good-hearted public relations executive.
Columbia Pictures will pay off the mortgage debt of one deserving family, with a grand prize worth up to $360,000. To enter and find the official contest rules, log on to Hancockmovie.com. Entrants will write a 200 word essay explaining why they are deserving of the grand prize. The program runs through July 6.
Ok so you can watch the whole movie on this widget tonight at 6:30? Or am I not understanding this?

DarKnight that's not how I'm reading this, this is just for a contest to help promote the film. They have to do something, the movie landscape is pretty crowded.

I stand corrected, It appears they are streaming the premiere (meaning the stars walking on the red carpet and all that jazz.)

Darknight and John's Cup just won the contest to see who is the biggest loser. Congratulations guys! Your prize... another lonely night, with no friends and no love life, other than your hands.

It's got potential, at Blockbuster as a rental! Too many other good flicks to see. I think it will be a good movie, Will Smith is a good actor, but this one will have to wait.
Let loose the JOKER......

I saw this Last week...I came in with high hopes and left disappointed..the fx were ok, the acting was alright( it had its funny moments)....but the plot was a disaster...not gonna spoil it but the storyline is not what the trailers make you believe its about..sometimes thats a good thing, but in this case it is not..not saying dont see it, but dont go expecting an IRONMAN or even an INCREDIBLE HULK....

I'm checking this out. I'm a Will Smith fan and he has the golden touch. This may or may not be the kind of movie that has multiple viewing ability. What it has going for it is Will Smith and Charlize Theron. I can stare at her for a couple of hours any day. The one thing that this film is missing is a lot of buzz. There's no buzz for it at all. With Hellboy hot on it's heels and then TDK, they both are going to have to come out of the gate very strong.

Good thing the dark knight took the time from fighting crime to tell us he was first.

It's odd that this will ultimately net more money than Superman, which it is a parody of.

Steven, you would get along well with Darknight and John's Cup. They don't like women either.

Charlize Theron is not the villian in the movie. This movie will blow you away. It will make you want to kill the creators of this film. It is beyond bad.

this film was awesome. Unique story, great acting, and terrific visuals! Hancock 2 surely can't be far behind!
Parents: Leave the kids at home though. This should have been rated r.

Saw a press screening last night. It was OK and certainly entertaining. But not up to par with the earlier Marvel releases - IM and Hulk. I don't know that I agree with "f12" that this should have an R rating. I think PG-13 is sufficient. Most 10 year old's have seen, heard, and said much worse than is present in this film. Have you seen any of the video games they play? This movie seems to have been made with the average teenager in mind. Does it set great moral examples at all times? No. But if that is what you are looking for, you might try Wall-E.

I saw Hancock last night. Enjoyed it, it's not a typical "super hero" movie. I likened it to more like Heroes in a way, only with a little more comedy thrown in. I'd recommend it.

ONE WORD...... AWESOME

I just came back from watching the movie and I have to say it was pretty good. It is true that it can't stand up to Iron Man or Hulk because it has no history, but if it makes good money we could possibly see a new franchise. Iron Man and Hulk are so big because we already know the character and have a certain expectation on how they should be realized. On the other hand, there is no expectation for Hancock. He is a new character and that is the weakness of the movie. I would say it came out at the wrong time, and because this is a origin story of sorts that it won't be huge. However, I think that the comedy in it worked. It reminded me of the Greatest American Hero at times. Comparing it to a light hearted superhero movie like FF and you can see how the formula might work.
