Interesting . . . .

Two things:
- wasn't the octopus supposed to be a villain who's mystique lied in the fact that almost no-one has seen his face?
- saying "First!" in your post is not only about as useful as writing a post that says "Post!"... but when you aren't even the first response to an article, it's just sad and pathetic.

I love looking at peoples Octopus's!!

Ok... Yes, I agree that the "First-ers" are slightly annoying, but the people complaining about them seem to be posting just as many, if not more, useless responses.
If you ignore them, they go away.
Oh yeah, Frank Miller kicks @$$, so I'm looking forward to this.

call it Sin City 2: The Spirit!!!!. Frank Miller needs not to copy off Robert Rodriguez's Sin City. I know Miller created Sin City and The Spirit but does he know any other style beside copying every detail from Sin City style?? or at least try new style. I know he co-directed Sin City with Robert Rodriguez. But Frank Miller really needs to be original!!!!!

Hey Nick Fury,
Frank Miller didn't create The Spirit. Will Eisner did

We've seen his face, he's gonna kill us now. Seriously aren't we not supposed to see his face, what the hell Frank?

Look at the SSH POLL! WHY DO FANS WANT TO SEE A CAPTAIN AMERICA MOVIE SO MUCH?! THOR IS WAY MORE KICKASS!! I HOPE MARVEL MAKES THOR FIRST. THOR, GOD OF THUNDER.
Spirit should have been filmed in color. The spirit isn't as dark as Batman so this style doesn't work. They should have made it look like Superman Returns.

Thanks njass... you've convinced me that I was wrong :)

this looks cheesy, they should keep Samuel L. Jackson for Nick Fury and Nick Fury only.

That costume and makeup must have cost about $1.50..just awful.

thank you, Film Ninja. maybe subtract the 1 dollar, eh?

I was wondering if Samuel L Jackson was going to be in this, "He's in everything."

Ok, for the record, this is my own personal take on Frank Miller:
Sin City I understand and enjoyed as a comic. It was interesting, if not exactly "edgy, new or different" which seem to be the main adjectives applied to Miller's crap. For proof read Transmetropolitan. My point is the film noir feel was interesting but the ultra-violence and lunatic characters had been done before, and better. As far as the movie is concerned, if you like the comics I think it would be impossible to dislike the movie since it was essentially a carbon copy.
As far as his Batman work, it was about 50% very impressive and interesting storytelling and 50% unreadable, over-stylized, different-for-the-sake-of-being-different garbage. I'm, of course, referring to the '86 Dark Knight versus the early 2000 sequel. It went from thought-provoking metaphors and logical character development, to cartoonish ultra-violence and artwork so sloppy there were panels where you couldn't tell the difference between Batman and Plastic Man.
And now we have The Spirit. A character and story that are NOT his own, though his name is plastered all over it and a movie adaptation that, from what we have so far seen at least, is nothing more than a trace over of Sin City effects.
This isn't me trying to start a nerd-off but, honestly, could someone please explain the appeal of Frank Miller to me?

I like Frank Miller and hope the best for him, but nothing out of this production so far has looked any good. The teaser is a cheaper looking version of Sin City and just looks blah.
And now this pic.
Looks...blah
