Blackfilm.com has posted more clips from director Lexi Alexander's Punisher: War Zone, opening in theaters on December 5, 2008. The action-thriller stars Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok and Julie Benz.

In the film, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle wages his one-man war on the world of organized crime and sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.

You can watch the clips here!

Finally! NEW CLIPS!! I'm gonna watch 'em now

Wow,a section where nobody has mentioned the dreaded F word. Could this be real? lol

Anyway,those clips are good.
Pretty much action though,I just hope it has a good story to fill it in

Iron Spider I don't think you checked all the clips, I think you may have just watched the tv spots

If you scroll down, beneath the tv spots there are 3 scenes shown which are more or less character driven

I'm glad we're finally seeing something of the plot. I like the idea of Frank killing the undercover agent and trying to atone. And I like the way they describe the relationship between Jigsaw and his brother. Should be interesting to see. Can't wait!!

I really hope this doesn't suck. Go The Goatman.

Interviews were great. Punisher fans shouldn't be complaining.

I'm really excited to see this...The kill count in it has to be at least 50+. The red band trailer has some crazy glimpses at some pretty brutal stuff.

The teaser trailer for this film was aweful and it actually looks like they've done a great job with this movie I'm gonna have to go see it now.

It is good to see more dialogue - gives a better idea of how the film will hang together, I think.

Looks like Stevenson has nailed it. He IS the Punisher.

Looking good.

WOW! As a long time fan of the character I am very impressed! They did their homework this time around they even have his background as a former seminary student in there. I simply can't wait for this film.

Posted by: Honest Fan on November 21, 2008 at 19:38:31

Wow... the red-band trailer was just too much. I was so freakin' excited to see this movie, but I'm just not interested in them showing that much gore. It's what ruined the RAMBO film for me (a movie with a decent story-line and a cool ending to the fanchise that was tainted by too much blood & guts). I understand that this is what 'The Punisher' is, but c'mon - that's not entertainment people. Sorry, but I'll not be seeing this - or any of my four kids who usually stand in line for hours with me on opening night for all the MARVEL movies. I hope the movie bombs so they understand that a good movie doesn't need this crap in it to make it good or believable.

Posted by: GammaBob on November 21, 2008 at 19:58:35

@ Honest Fan

I have to disagree with you about Rambo. Rambo was a movie about war, and last time I checked, war is bloody, brutal and violent. it's not pretty and isn't supposed to be pretty. If you go to war, you will see blood and guts whether you like it or not. So if a movie about war is going to be "good or believable", be prepared to see some gore. Stallone understands that and that was the purpose of making it as brutal as it is, he was trying to show an honest and realistic depiction of war (well....about as realistic as a Rambo movie can be anyway). If anything the LACK of blood and guts tainted the other Rambo movies (with the exception of First Blood), by making war "pretty" and "cool" they were just glorifying it. Which is not what David Morrell (the author of First Blood) intended at all. War is not glorious or pretty and should not be portrayed as such.

And make no mistake, the Punisher is at war. he lives in a brutal world, surrounded by violent, nasty people doing nasty, violent things, to which he responds by doing nasty, violent things himself. So what do you expect the movie to be? freakin' Care Bears?? No! it's gonna be violent and nasty!

And you stating that you hope the movie bombs just shows your true maturity level, which makes it really hard for me to believe that you have 4 kids..unless you're one of them. Don't get me wrong, if you do have 4 kids and don't want to bring them to this kind of movie, I don't blame you at all, I wouldn't bring my kids to a movie this violent. And if you just don't like violent movies, hey, that's fine. No one says you have to. But to say you want a movie to bomb just because you clearly don't like that genre is just childish. I don't like Pixar movies but you don't see me saying I wish every Pixar movie out there bombs.

well said gammabob.i wonder if honest fan is truly a fan of the punisher by saying all those things.

Posted by: GammaBob on November 21, 2008 at 20:19:50

jim, I agree with you, I seriously doubt that he is a Punisher fan at all. Considering the comics (well, the MAX series anyway) are about 10 times more violent than anything shown in the red band trailer. I think his claim that he was excited for this movie until he saw the red band trailer is BS. Sounds like he's just one of these "hater" people who go to random threads and post idiotic comments for the sole reason of getting people riled up. Dude needs a life. So lets not give him the satisfaction and just pretend he doesn't exist.

This film does look better then the Hensleigh version , people should stop slagging off the Mark GoldBlatt version of 89. Although not true to form it was due to budget and NewWorld pictures going bust.

Can th people at Lions gate promote thismovie more, when will u.k. get this movie also heed my words the wbsite this should be part of the DVD.

Lions Gate again whats with the poor picture quality images look very shakey, sort this would be cool tosee the Daily Bugle mentioned in the movie heres to hoping J.JONAH JAMESON could put in a descent cameo.

Give the movie a chance PEOPLE!

Posted by: Fanboiii on November 21, 2008 at 20:56:05

Honest Fan, yeah right. Not only are you a lame fan, but you're a horrible dad if you ever expected to take your kids to a Punisher movie. Even the previous Punisher movies weren't made for kids. Honest Troll. You think your little boycott will prove anything? How many Saw movies have been made? Yeah, exactly. I feel bad that your kids are going to grow up as fairies.

Posted by: ted on November 21, 2008 at 21:19:45

I know some people dont get this but...
not all comic books are for kids...thats the thinking that got Joel Schumacher making Batman and Robin.

Rambo and Punisher arnt for kids..thats just the way it is...

Posted by: Fanboiii on November 21, 2008 at 21:28:15

From everything I've seen, Lexi Alexander has done a great job. She might be the perfect director for a Wonder Woman film because it seems like she can balance violence with drama without them taking away from each other.

Posted by: GnarlyHulk on November 21, 2008 at 21:38:51

Hulk like punisher movie trailer. Hulk think Lexi Alexander good woman and worthy of hulk.

this is gonna be great..the dialogue and action is cool..i feel confident this will make money at d box office..JIGSAW rocks!

I don't understand people like Honest Fan. To assume that The Punisher is a film that you would take your kids to see. And you made this assumption because it's made by Marvel...and Marvel made Iron Man and The Hulk...which the kids loved... so they're just going to love this. If Honest Fan had done his homework he'd know that the Punsher's origin and the task he sets out to do as a result of this is not positive... and when translated to film is obviously something you don't take your kids to see. He's not called The Punisher because he makes the bad guys stand in the corner for a time out when they misbehave. And you shouldn't condemn a film to fail because it's not "kid friendly"
Give me a break.

Any one notice that instead of just "Marvel" it says "Marvel Knights".

This is gonna be sweet.

I'm glad they are finally showing some of the dramatic parts of the film. They were over-selling the action.
