SDCC: Exclusive New Punisher: War Zone Poster!

Superhero Hype! has your exclusive first look at the new Timothy Bradstreet-designed Punisher: War Zone poster that was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con today. Opening December 5, the Lexi Alexander-directed action-thriller stars Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok and Julie Benz.

In the film, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.

Is it me or does anyone else smell a bomb? This movie has utter faliure all over it. I personally loved the Thomes Jane film and I saw the trailer for this and wanted to yack in my chair. I'm actually thinking of a "Razzie" for this film and last time I thought of that was Halle Berry's Catwoman......

This flick is gonna suck the preview reminds me of the 1989 movie which was was horrible and the poster kind of does also.

I'll give them one thing. Ray Stevenson IS FRANK CASTLE! Just hope this movie doesn't suck. It could be some fun B entertainment.

looks good.although i prefer the black n white ones by bradstreet.too comic booky.they can do better but if the movie is good i really don't care about the posters to be honest

Too bad that body armor he is wearing makes him look tiny, because he is a fairly built guy. I hope this gets sent to the ratings board and returned at least twice, that is the type of violence I want to see. Especially if they are doing Jigsaw, I mean come on!

not bringing Thomas Jane back really gives this potential suck factor. Hope it doesn't, but I ain't excited for it yet.

Not bad! I really hope this flick kicks ass. It seems as though it's also taking the route of "The Dark Knight" with the appropriate dark tone, hardcore action, mob story, and actors who truly fit the bill. Let's hope Lexi Alexander delivered what we truly missed with The Tom Jane version. Marvel can go 3 for 3 this year and 2 for 2 in successful reboots!!

I gotta agree on the "looks lame" side of the disscussion. Sorry, but the actor reminds me of the craptastic guy who took on The Crow: Salvation role. They shoulda stuck with Jane and just changed the Director. The last one was ok, but not great (although I like how he got John Travolta to kill his own wife). Never was huge into the comic as well. I'll rent it, or go to the cheapies to see it.

Why do some people think this movie will be good? What was wrong with the Tom Jane version?
I think its gonna be a flop. It'll be out on DVD 2 months after its in the theatre's.
