Punisher: War Zone Teaser Trailer Hits!

Lionsgate has provided us with the new teaser trailer for Lionsgate's Punisher: War Zone, directed by Lexi Alexander (Green Street Hooligans) and starring Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok and Julie Benz.

In the December 5 comic book adaptation, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle (Stevenson) wages his one-man war on the world of organized crime and sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.

Looks awesome, been reading Punisher since 1988. desperatly need a good Punisher movie.

Wow. I had really high hopes that this movie wasn't gonna suck. Being a fan of the Tom Jane "Punisher," it appears to me that Lexi Alexander has delivered the exact OPPOSITE of what she has said; that being a darker, gritier Punisher. Appears to me that Lexi Alexander may be the illegitimate offspring of Joel Schumacher, what with all those F'ing neon colors. God I'm disappointed.

much much better... don't get me wrong.. I admire Tom Jane's dedication to the character... its just .. why go underwear model when you can go ugly mug a-hole instead.. dig the slicked back hair too... thats Frank to me..

It looks like hitman 2. Since when does Punisher spin from a chandelier in slow mo? He shoots people in the face.

That movie looks like it's gonna SUCK! The cheap dialogue, alone, made me realize that Thomas Jane made the right move by passing on the sequel. He knew that fans, like myself, would be PISSED!!!!!............again.

@ The thinker

It's clearly darker and grittier in tone.. which is what darker and grittier means when ppl talk about the movies they're making. Not actual colors.

The colors are taken directly from a popular run of the comics. That was a SHH story a few months back.

Looks a hell of a lot darker and grittier to me.

"Sometimes I'd like to get my hands on God."

Looks........ummmmm ok i guess....didnt really show much. I think this will suck though. Jane was a good Punisher...anyway we ll know when we see it , right?

I really liked Thomas Jane as the Punisher, he was ruthless but not without a heart, and his voice blended really well with the role. This new guy, Stevenson, his voice is too old and gritty and makes me think of an older Punisher, when he's in his early fifties or something. And as far as content goes, from this teaser, War Zone looks kind of mindless...probably a good popcorn flick, and hell, I'll see it, but in my mind, Thomas Jane is the Punisher.
