Iron Man 2 Trailer with Sherlock Holmes?
Source:Jon Favreau
November 19, 2009

In retweeting a question about when we'll see the first trailer for Iron Man 2, director Jon Favreau appears to be giving us a big hint:

RT @Ann_Howard: @Jon_Favreau PLEASE tell us the trailer is coming soon - w/Sherlock Holmes, perhaps??

It makes sense since Sherlock Holmes also stars Robert Downey Jr., of course. The Guy Ritchie-directed film opens Christmas Day.

Our guess was that we'd be seeing the trailer with Avatar on December 18, but it looks like we'll have to wait just a week longer.

Hey early on this one, I love trailers and especially ones on movies that are going to be INCREDIBLE!! (No that is not a reference to the Hulk)

I was going to go see Sherlock Holmes anyway, but this is a definite bonus!

If it happens, that is.

I hope it's not just footage from comic-con, I want to see Scarlet Johanson as Black Widow!

looking forward to the trailer. have great hopes that the sequel improves on the original. sherlock holmes is a question mark for me but ill check it out for the iron man trailer.

I dont think there is news about Captain America yet because The Wolfman hasnt came out yet. Joe Johnston is the director for the movie so they are probably gonna wait until that comes out next month to start talking about it.

Wow, I can't believe they cited some loser on tweet as a possibility, might as well search the scumbags on IMDb, this is such a joke.

@soot. Perhaps you should reread the article.

I've seen the comic con footage dozens of times. It can still be found online with little effort. I will not give out the link though. "Selling my Iron man suit would be tantamount to prostitution. Of course you wouldn't know about that. You're a senator"

OK, I'll go see Sherlock Holmes...but if you're messing with me.....!

I like that Favreu is keeping everything close to the chest.
Building anticipation in the fans who know he can deliver the goods.

maybe we'll see the trailer for sleepwalker. that would be sweet.

Yeah I'm glad we don't know everything that is going to happen in the film. Stay calm guys the movie is better when you are surprised.

I can,t wait to see the trailer ironman 2 and it will truly be cool and fun to watch.

I was pretty hyped for that trailer like two months ago when I thought it would hit.
Now I don't really care anymore. Which is a totally good thing because hype sucks, it only makes you feel disappointed if it doesn't meet your expectations.
So show it with Sherlock Holmes ... or avatar .. or whatever ... How about releasing it in March? (Now I should be careful, I think I just pissed of a lot of people here)

Posted by: Batchat on November 19, 2009 at 15:19:03

@batfan

yea actually March works better for me..by then I will have completely forgotten the leaked trailer that we all saw several months ago. How about no trailers just word of mouth until the release date so they can keep it fresh without spoiling it

are they going to show the preview in front of alvin and the chipmunks 2?

I was on the fence about seeing this movie in the first place, but now i will see it.

If you're a fan of RDJ you should watch "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang". It's really good, but no one saw it. It only made about 4 Mil.
