I thinks its pretty awesome how down-to-earth both Favreau and RDJ are (or seem)! I want the Iron Man franchise to succeed just because of them!
...Iron Man himself is pretty cool too! Pretty stoked for this movie!

Great behind the scenes interviews,... even with all the frog talk.

The thing that has me most intrigued is the concept of a larger universe. I'll start this one.....The Dark Knight was great, but as Nolan has said Batman is the only superhero in his world. Iron Man 2 is intriguing because you know Thor, Captain America, The Avengers, The Marvel Universe are all out, and Iron Man's story is a piece of that larger pie.

Yeah, I'm with nix on this. Favreau said something about not liking the idea of Hulk for example, being in the same universe as his Iron Man film because the tone is so different. It'll be interesting to see how The Avengers turns out.
I'm excited.

i just hope they open more to the mystery of the avenger initiative, i hope this movie is about tonys involvement in forming the team, with talk or cameos of other members of the avengers, and the finding of captain america... tony already has the shield, which is an important piece of detail

I hope the whole movie doesn't take place on that race track.
Other then that they seemed more open with having iron man in the big universe of marvel in the first film. Now it seems like they want to keep everything based hardcore in reality. Which is not a good idea. Because technically speaking Iron Man is just as unbelievable as any other character in the Marvel Universe. Simply because you go the impossible mechanical route over the impossible biological route doesn't make it any less impossible.
The Punisher has been the only reality based superhero film thus far. People are really hung up on the idea that batman was so realistic. Three story trains, microwave emitters, tanks driving on roofs, basically everything in The Dark Knight was not reality based.
All you need to do is use a base of factual knowledge and expand fictionally on that and people will except it in the universe.

Heh...I have to laugh...saying "Iron Man" with a French accent. What, he's not "Homme de Fer?"

@ DC Comics Suck
I'm sick of hearing this s**t. Heather Ledger dying might have been enough to get a lot of people to the theater ONCE. It doesn't explain the insanely strong repeat business it attracted. The movie being ridiculously good and critically blessed would, however. Save it.

DC Comics Suck: If health ledger didnt die, The Dark Knight woulda been a 300mill movie... amen.
Balls! Amen to that.
And, poor fathead Favreau is setting himself up a crappy sequel. IM2 will be the exception to the rule for superhero sequels. How could he possibly buy into something like that? Idiot!

@joemoe3030, actually Stark has the Cap's Shield in the scene after the battle in middle east, when Pepper get into the room and Tony is taking off the suit, look at the desk in the background, it's in youtube too.
And I can't wait to see a trailer of this

Im one of Batmans biggest fans. But even when it made more money than any Marvel movie, I didnt laugh in Marvel fans faces. Anyone who does is an idiot.
