A Preview of the Iron Man 2 Game

Game Revolution has posted a preview of the SEGA's upcoming Iron Man 2 video game for the Xbox 360 that the site says "is more of a companion piece to the film than a rehashing of the movie's plot... Basically, 'Iron Man 2' is looking to make all the changes it can to disassociate itself with its predecessor's mistakes while keeping the few good things that were there."

FINALLY they are starting to put out super hero games with NEW stories. nothing like playing a game where you know the ending...not so much fun...am i right?

Nothing has beat spider man 2 in movie games yet. Lets hope the new iron man is a better game than the donkey ball sucker first one.

Well, Matt Fraction is writing this script for this game. So, in theory, the story should be great, considering Fraction is doing amazing stuff with iron man in the comic world.

I think plot is in very capable hands. Here's hoping to even decent gameplay...

Um I believe arkham asylum was better than spiderman 2 my friend. And if you liked spider man 2 what was the problem with 3 it was the same gameplay mechanic jus better and prettier. Nowadays people jus say somethings bad without saying y its bad WTF!

Arkham Asylum came more from the comics than the movies and was a self contained story that borrowed from the batman's past and didnt really copy it, but iff the developers behind iron man can make the gamplay half as good as Arkham was then the plot being good would just be a bonus..

If you remember Spider-man 2, you were able to swing from line to line without ever detatching from the webs and freefalling.
It's kind of hard to explain, but where in spider-man 3 (and every game after) you must swing through your arc, let go of the line, fly through the air and then create a new line, in spider-man 2 you could do this, aswell as fire one web, then another web before releasing the first one. This Allowed you to kind of 'zig-zag' in the classic spidey fashion.
Since spider-man 3 lost this feature, I wouldn't consider it an improvement. Infact the lack of this feature in every spider-man game since spider-man 2 has kind of ruined them for me.

I personally liked the Spider-Man 1 movie game the best by far of that series. In fact, that and Wolverine Origins are my two favorite movie-game adaptations.

Iron Man 1 (the game) was too loosey goosey. Iron Man felt like he had no weight while he walked and it was too difficult to kill anything while flying. Definitely a huge disappointment. Hopefully this one will be good...

why does every comic book related post have to put up against batman in some way? this is iron man so lets compare this to what an iron man game should be. from the preview i have hope but the only way to tell is shell out some cash and play the damn thing when it comes out if i like it great if not oh well.. guess i could go play batman...

i hope video games start become a better place for comic story telling. for all those arcs we wish were made into movies. or just a sweet new story to tell like Batman AA. i hope they start cranking out original superhero video games that rock hard.

It is amazing that most of the TDK fans are still bringing the movie up when it has absolutely nothing to do with this game or movie.....why? I can't wait for this game and from the buzz going around I can't wait for the movie either. Good luck TDK fans....I like TDK and Iron Man but this is Iron Man's shine right now, can't you just wait for the TDK sequel?

the first game made me want to scream the end is nigh!!!!

i got the first game
awesome
nailed prettttttty much everything espeacially the flying.
but the one thing tht bothered me was tht pretty much throguh out the whole game u were fighting milarty or other robots, the second game doesnt look much farther, yeah ik thts all iron man stuff but they could use some random villian tht prob wnt make it big in the moves, like AIM with MODAK or Dragonman. n the other thing tht got boring was the fighting moves, u had repulsors, chest beam, a few kinds of punchers, and the flare type things. tht was it. but a thing i think would b cool if they had a visual camera while ur planning to switch to first person.
