Johansson Auctioning Off Iron Man 2 Premiere Tickets
September 16, 2009
People magazine reports that Scarlett Johansson will be auctioning off two Iron Man 2 premiere tickets, as well as a meet-and-greet with the actress herself, in support of the charity Oxfam America, for which she is a Ambassador:
The auction begins Thursday at 10 p.m. ET at eBay.com/Oxfam and will run through Sept. 24, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Oxfam America, an organization long dedicated to finding lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice around the world.
"I'm so thrilled to be a part of this eBay charity opportunity, again raising funds for Oxfam," Johansson, 24, says in a statement. "Oxfam is an incredibly worthy organization that I'm most passionate about."
The winning bidder and his or her guest will attend the Los Angeles premiere and receive a complimentary session at the Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills to prepare for the red carpet.
Iron Man 2 opens in theaters on May 7, 2010.

As if we didn't need any more reason to be in love with Scarlett Johansson.

If you don't make six-figures a year at least, don't get your hopes up on scoring those tickets! I can barely afford normal tickets so I know I don't have a shot.

You pay a shltload for the tickets. Bring your cousin, who is pretending to be your girlfriend. Get shunned by the stars who pretend to care. Get quick pic with RDJ and have it published in a crappy mag. Peak down Scarletts dress. See the movie in the most awful seats. Go back to the hotel. End.
Thats my plan. where do I bid?

Well thats fine N-Famuz but the rest of us sane men cant wait to see Scarlett in the movie. She has the look, the comic book body, and the size to pull it off. May not have a good Russian accent but I'm sure its passable. Miss Reynolds is gonna be the talk of the movie when it debuts and I can't wait to see all the scorn from the women in the crowd when she puts on the costume. Ahhhh, its gonna be like when Alba had on the FF4 costume for the first time. You could feel angst from all the women in the crowd.

Oxfam...what a funny made up combined word.
Are they truly worthy though? I must be the judge of that!!! not that I could afford a date with her.
(sigh)

Your not going to be attending with Scarlett, If it was a date with her...my wife would kill me. I make 6 figures and I wouldn't be able to afford the divorce.

I went to the premier & after party for Taladega Nights. You rarely get to meet the celebs at the premier. They are too busy getting their pics taken and then doing interviews. They come into the theater right as the movie starts. Where you meet them is at the after-party. So unless you get them also in this bid. It's not worth it.

Here's an idea. Why don't you just give the tickets away to fans because that is awesome...and give your own money to your charity you rich hollywood buggers!

Iron Man 2 will kick ass, if Disney doesn't mess it up.

That's so unfair, how is any fan going to be able to pay that much money? The should just make people buy a ticket for $5 that goes in the DRAW, that way everyone has a fair chance and plenty of money is raised.
