Way to go!! Cementing their status as the new standard for these type of movies.
2008 was a great year for comic book movies.
Really looking forward for what will come from 2010 and so on....

Once again, the Hulk gets the shaft.

@ Asteroid-Man
Dont want rain on your parade. But Batman is very likely to be out in 2012. Perhaps not even at all. Even Christian Bale isnt very enthusiastic.

Yes, Bale signed a pretty rock solid 3-movie deal, so he'll be Batman at least once more (unless no movie is ever made).

@ dcHulk... seriously, considering the new film was 10x better then the first one.

Hmmm, In my opinion Iron Man was overrated. I liked the movie a lot. But I thought The Incredible Hulk was better in terms of story and action. Iron fought knowone really. And the last battle with Iron Monger was cliche. They had to find a way to keep pepper pots in the mix. It was easy to see that he wasnt gonna be at full power fighting Monger and it sucked. Also, it wasnt that long. Other than that, I liked every minute of it but all these awards and best this and that is getting out of hand. Downey did a superb job but the Iron Man himself was used to little and we never got a sense of his full power. Hulk however was not limited and Had a fantastic fight with Abomination. How it should of been. It was more intense. But people got a foul tast from Ang Lees version which is why it didnt make any money. Iron Man II will be better, I just hope its longer and lets Iron Man actually do some fighting full power. Again, I like Favreau and the movie, but felt the action could of been better for the finale. A rooftop night fight is just to easy. Also, I didnt like using L.A. as the location for Stark Industries. Too small.

The Hulk should've received an award. It was much better than all others. I'm NOT a big fan of the hulk, just thought the effects, the story and the acting was very good. The other heroe movies were too cheesy.

Are you retards serious???? "The Hulk" SUCKED!!!!! It hadn't anything to do with Ang Lee's fiasco - it's not a character with much interest/fan base. It's one-dimmensional - it can't even be portrayed by a REAL PERSON - it has to be GGI!!!! Seriously, shut the "F" up, already! Morons...and I'll not even address the F-tard that feebly attempted to trash Iron Man - you, sir lack comprehension of anything obvious and likely mistake an acceptable CGI-laden fight scene and/or superfluous action sequences as a "good story". Look up former posts related to Iron Man, it might help give you the insight into the fundamental comprehension which you obviously lack.
"....Lord, deliver us from F'tards..."

How is the hulk one dimensional? It's about a dude fighting with his inner monster. And his fight to tame the beast within. All while trying to protect the ones he loves and stop the other evils he had unknowingly unleashed... And who cares if things are CGI, I mean really? If CGI is needed I would rather have that then the cheesy old camera tricks and costumes you would have to use otherwise. A costumed hulk would look much more fake than the CGI one they used. And just because you believe that the hulk can't be portrayed by a REAL PERSON and it has to be CGI doesn't mean that one can't feel empathy and sorrow for the big green beast sometimes. I mean gollum from lord of the rings was an excellent example that a CGI character can be as deep and emotional as a normal actor.

To WTF???
The Incredible Hulk was a FANTASTIC Film. I doubt you've even seen it by what you've posted. Iron Man was good, and so was Hulk. In fact I prefer Hulk to Iron Man sometimes but both are (in my opinion) some of the best comic book movies, surpassing all of the Spider-Man and X-Men films. Ang Lee's Hulk however was atrocious.

Funny, I liked both Hulk and Iron Man but was very disappointed in The Dark Knight (yes even Heath ledger's Joker, I know that's somewhat sacreligious). To each his own kids.

To 'Miles'
I agree wholeheartly with you, but you had better be careful. I got ripped a new one for daring to state that I didn't care for "The Dork Knight" movie. You are not allowed to notice that Bale is a hack who can't act his way out of a paper sack and that Nolan can only make 'art' films but cannot direct an action scene to save his life (or films). It is even worse when you mention that the Batman in these hack's films is not even able to invent his own weapons or do his own detective work, he has to have Alfred explain his case to him!!
Better watch out or you'll get tarred and feathered!!!

Well...I went to see TDK on the day of the Bejing Olympics. So I might as well see Batman 3 on the day of the 2012 London Olympics.

You sir lack respect with other people views makes you a sad shell of a retard that can't share his toys with other kids.Iron Man had cgi that was very easy to see as did the hulk and it still did not distract from the movie experience. So if we disagree on something that you have we are retards? No sir we are individuals with our own ideas.Good or Bad does not make us "f-tards".But calling people names like you have done shows your lack of people skills. And for the record, both Hulk and Ironman were great! The Dark Knight was good but was way too long. They did not need to have the Two-face fight in this one. They could have left that for the next movie to add to the tension.but this is only my "retarded"opinon.

Gimme Jack and Michael any day. (glad you mentioned the voice, boy I hated that)
My final comment though is what a delight the last 15-20 years has been for comic book fans. As a more than a little decrepit 50 year old, I remember being very happy just getting the old Merry Marvel Marching Society cartoons. What we are getting now is almost astounding. If they would just make the JLA/Avengers into a movie I could die a happy man.

The Hulk was utterly uninteresting. A man fighting his inner demons? Congrats, you've stumbled upon every superhero movie plot that's come out in the past couple of years. Batman, Spiderman, Iron Man, Wolverine...all of them have some form of demon inside, be it the loss of family, loss of self, loss of control...it goes on. The reason I didn't enjoy The Hulk is because he is completely played by a computer animation. It's boring.
The reason those other heroes are fun to watch is because they're battling their demon on the inside, and can watch the actor portray this. The Hulk "hulks out" and his inner demon is now a physical being who smashes stuff and can only speak two words at a time. The Hulk is a brute, a computer-generated guy who jumps high and pounds things. The movie was disappointing on so many levels. It's hard to take a big green CGI monster seriously when trying to evoke emotion by having it sit in the rain with Liv Tyler.
Lord of the Rings was enjoyable because it was a mostly CG world, so not a lot looked too out of place. Take Gollum and have him run around a metropolitan area; in a non-CGI world, a completely CGI character is too sharply contrasted and will be lame as hell. They should have just made Hulk a video game, because that's how the last fight played out.
Not going so far as to call anyone names here, just stating my point of view and giving some feedbacks to points made. When Eddie Norton was on-screen, fun times. When he tagged out and Deep Green tagged in, snooze fest. You know what's coming: that Hulk? He gonna smash. Hulk mad. Hulk clap. Stop fire. Tag out, bring in the hoomin. The Hulk [not Banner, just the Hulk] really requires no acting, except anger...and then that brief moment when he sees Liv Tyler and he's like "I'm sad that I'm green." That's it. It's uninteresting to me. That's all.

Hellboy Sucks...they don't deserve for an award!!!
Posted by: Vipul on June 26, 2009 at 11:41:20
@WTF .... Dude you're a retard. Your inane blabbering just proves you're a hater. Its fine if you didn't like the Hulk, but cursing others for liking it is like Bin Laden hating USA for not following the Taliban, on a lower scale.
@TheOtherKyle: Dude, Hulk IS the inner demon for Banner, and, yeah he's fun to watch, but Bruce Banner has always been the real hero. If you didn't get that from the movie or from the Hulk comics you may have read in your lifetime then you really have to watch the movie again or read a few more Hulk books.
The Hulk is unique because he is a hero and a monster wrapped in one being and each personality is desperately trying to take control and destroy the other. Its like our own good and dark side fighting for control in ourselves. It happens to ordinary people like us every day. Except in Bruce Banner's case, it is more obvious.
I don't have a Bazillion dollars like Bruce Wayne or a suit of Armor like Tony Stark, but I do have inner demons like all of us.
So which of the 3 movies sounds more realistic now? TDK, IM or The Hulk?
BTW, the final fight with the Abomination: Think about it. If someone you loved was in mortal danger would you hesitate to use everything in your power to save her/him? Even the dark demon inside?
Hulk is as real as it gets. (And the CGI was awesome)

The hulk was a great movie and so was Iron Man, they were the best two movies of the year. Dark knight was a garbage movie and only held together by the great performance that heath ledger gave as the Joker he got the shaft as best performance from the other garbage movies like milk and foreign crap that always wins.

The only thing I'm looking foward to is David Dobkin's adaptation of Wally West in,"The Flash" film come 2011. Produced by Chris Blancato.
