Was fortunate enough to catch a special screening of Hellboy II and it kicks butt! It's way better than the first (which I also liked except for the very ending) and has some very cool stuff. Compared to other comic book flicks from 2008, I'm sure it'll make a lot less cash due to the weirdness of the characters and the fact that he's not a character a lot of people know. But hopefully it does well enough.
If you like the character, I think you'll enjoy the film.

I think Robert Downey, Jr will became a hot actor.

Erick...
What does Robert Downey, Jr. have to do with Hellboy? And the fact is that he's been a "hot actor" for quite some time.

Don't watch the clip! Just go see it!
I was lucky enough to see it today. If you're interested in seeing anything remotely cool you won't miss this dazzling, heartwarming, heartbreaking, hilarious movie!!!
Like its predecessor this movie is drenched in coolness. A little different, a little rougher at times for sure, and yet it manages to be even more imaginative than the original with some of the most incredible imagery ever. As epic as Lord of the Rings but faster, funnier, leaner & meaner. Every character is fantastically fun, and to my amazement, hands down the best wushu (martial arts) work EVER SEEN in ANY non-asian movie. So kung fu fans should see it as well.

You shut up too Brand-o

The right hand of doom is the best signature weapon ever. Yes better than freddy's hand and better than a lightsabre.

The Crowing:
I believe it is an original story put together by Del Toro and Mignola... primarily Del Toro by the looks of it. The first Hellboy was basically based on Mignola's Seed of Destruction story, but Mignola has given Del Toro the green light to "make it his own". The special features on the two disk set of Hellboy 1 are awesome....

wow, I had my retard gun loaded and ready to fire, quickly drawing a bead on tyler, but lo and behold, Brand-O beat me to it. Nice shot, old boy!

Dearest Kil all firsters. You do realise your reaction, and the attention we all give these firsting ***cwads is why they do it.

...though I must say, Tyler earns extra special retard points for not only claiming first, but for jumping up and down and squealing like a little girl with his second post. WTF, dude? Do you have some sort of crippling insecurity complex that requires you celebrate your own retard-ness?

by the way kill all, do you have an opinion on the clip... I thought it was cool and the use of the right hand of doom for parying was sweet.

and we all know what they say about winning an argument on a chat board......olympics - special

That looks awesome!!! As much as I love the Jedi sword duels, not being able to touch the blade and perform more of the fancier blocks, strikes and parry's hurts the battles. Like the sword work in Blade II, this fight kick's ass. I have to be at work to early to see it at midnight, but I'll see this tomorrow for sure.

That was awesome! I never thought Hellboy would be so bad ass with a sword, I'm definitely pumped for the film, more so than I was a minute ago. Can't wait to see it tomorrow.
However, I wish I didn't see it, now I know why the villain and his sister? Have similar scars...Damn, kind of a spoiler, but not enough to discourage me!

If I remember correctly, Mike Mignola gave del Toro permission to make HB2 as his own. HB2 isn't based on any on the source material. Mignola has faith in del Toro, like I do, to create a new spin on the HB franchise.

oversoul:
as a matter of fact, no, I did not watch the clip. I'm purposely NOT watching any more clips for *any* of the upcoming geek movies because I'd like to have something to look forward to. Don't wanna ruin my appetite, don'tchaknow.
