I didn't see the first one on the big screen either.... and most likely won't see this there , there is only one movie on my mind right now, and I'm pretty sure I don't even need to say what it is.
I'm sure this movie will be decent tho

Nothing in the world could make me happier than to see this movie turn in to a sleeper and take a huge chunk out of Batman. I'm not trying to start any fights but, as excited as I am about Batman, I'm finally fed up with the hype, the fanboys, and the "my superhero is cooler than your superhero" crap that I am hearing EVERYWHERE.
Hellboy and the BPRD are fun characters with great stories. Probably my single favorite comic which is saying a lot because I usually prefer the straight super hero titles.
At any rate, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Hellboy will surprise the bat-socks off of everyone over the next couple weeks.

I'm hoping that a lot of people are like you Space Monkey. They missed the 1st one in the theater, but liked it on the small screen and will check this one out. I'm looking forward to this with great anticipation.

The Steve:
Amen. I'm really getting tired of the way people are practically WORSHIPPING batman, and it isn't even out yet! Here's hoping Hellboy doesn't get lost in the static.

Well, so far all the people generous enough to spoil us with their experience of watching the film have said, for the most part, positive things about it. They all seem to really like it ... and were surprised by things that made me SQUEE with joy. So yeah, I can't wait until the 11th. :D

I missed Hellboy 1 in the theatres but I have it on DVD and it is very entertaining. Golden Army looks really good. With any luck(and hope)Hellboy 2 will drag the dark knight down a bit and send the pitiful batfans back down into their parents basement. I'm pretty sure that won't happen though because I think they would pay for at least 2 or 3 showings a day, and go to each one dressed as batman, two-face or the joker. And thier stupid "Iron Man and Hulk sucked, Batman rules" crap really annoys me, and drags down my excitement for the movie. But you know, no offense.

I have to agree with the people on here who put the movies "in competiton" with one another. Batman Rules...Iron man sux...that kind of stuff. What's with that??? It's like these guys are invested in the movie somehow and are gonna get paid if it does well....WTF?
The reality: All comic movies have to do well. Period. If the majority of them start to not make money, the suits in Hollyweird being to think that comics are no longer a viable source of cash flow. And if that happens, they'll stop making comic based flicks. Keep in mind fans and fanboys that the suits signing the checks are NOT comic fans. The couldn't give a crap less about the image, history or story of a comic flick...they only care about the bottom line.
If you're a real comic fan, you'll hope all of them have a modicum of success, because if you don't then you're setting yourself up for the suits to call the shots and not make these films we happen to...dare I say...love.
BTW, I loved Iron Man, Hulk and I'm sure that I'll love HB2 and TDK just as much.

I meant to say I disagree....with those guys who put movies in competition with one another...damn multitasking.

I saw the first one in the theater and own it and will see this one. Thought it was well done. I think it will out gross the first one, but don't know if it will hit blockbuster status (100 Million U.S. or more) I agree this bickering between movies is pointless. When they say I'm not going to see Hb2 to wait a week to see TDK. See both and if you can't afford to see both it might be a sign you need a better job. Hell I'd take you BUT I only pay a ladies way.. COMIC-BABE you catch that? lol

I totally agree with the whole "my movie is better than your movie" schtick that's been going on. I myself am taking a 3 day weekend from work to see HB2 and another 3 day weekend for TDK. To be honest, I've done it for every comic book flick that had my interest since X-Men. It's just unfortunate that we happen to have these over obsessive fans that are ruining the experience ahead of time. While it would be interesting to see HB2 outperform TDK (I can't wait to see the flak for that comment), we all know that realistically it isn't going to happen. Doesn't matter, I'm still going to see it and from what I've seen of it so far I'll enjoy it just as much as I did the first one if not more.

Sorry, I misspoke, I meant to say that I agree with the opinions on this thread about the whole "my movie versus your movie" schtick. Perhaps a little proofreading was in order. Thank you in advance for understanding and not giving me heck.
