Yahoo! Movies has debuted the new trailer for Green Lantern: First Flight, which hits DVD and Blu-ray Disc on July 28. The animated film is a co-production of Warner Premiere, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation.
Christopher Meloni fills the lead voice of Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern. Meloni is joined by fellow Emmy Award nominee Victor Garber as the villainous Sinestro, Tricia Helfer as the voice of Boodikka, and Michael Madsen as Kilowog.
Produced by animation legend Bruce Timm, Green Lantern: First Flight is directed by heralded director Lauren Montgomery ("Wonder Woman," "Superman Doomsday") and scripted by four-time Emmy Award-winning writer Alan Burnett ("The Batman").
Green Lantern: First Flight finds Hal Jordan recruited to join the Green Lantern Corps and placed under the supervision of respected senior Lantern Sinestro. The earthling soon discovers his mentor is actually the central figure in a secret conspiracy that threatens the philosophies, traditions and hierarchy of the entire Green Lantern Corps. Hal must quickly hone his newfound powers and combat the treasonous Lanterns within the ranks to maintain order in the universe.

looks great! don't care for the way Abin Sur looks, but meh~ whatever.
I'm sure this will be good, and probably a good indication of the plot for the live action version.

In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!

This is going to be a great Bluray purchase. Maybe it will come in a green case instead of blue like The Incredible Hulk. Can't wait for the live action movie.

it might very well be an awesome movie but the trailer was so weak!
it felt like more text than animation. and the animation didn't really show much. didn't tell us anything about the story, the villian, the moral dilemma, etc, and didn't barely showed any action! green latern hitting a space creature with a chair? geez...
at least Dragonball Evolution the movie has emmy rossum who's easy on the eyes...

Wonder Woman was by far one of the best animated comic movies. Looking forward to see Green Lantern (and the live action)!

Groundbreaking??? They're delusional.
The animation looks no different than what we've seen for the past 15 years.
Good God, I wish some company would please come along and make a really truly ground breaking animated superhero film.

This was amazing, Wonder Woman really raised the bar on animated comic book films so Im hoping this film continues that streak. Im very happy with everything, except Abin Sur but oh well. I like that Sinestro is wearing the Sinestro corps uniform but I doubt the film will have the rest of his corps.
One last thing, I really wish we could have had some voice acting the film since while it all looks great, I really want to get an idea about whether the voices sound right

Looks great! I hope it wasn't just a cleverly edited trailer only showing us the best parts. I hope it satisfies me as much as builds itself up!

Doesnt anybody else find it old that practically every animated feature with the Green Lantern is an origin story?
