I just found these myself at another site. All I have to say is, I don't care how fit Seth Rogan is....he's still Seth Rogan!

Posted by: the ButnakedAvenger on October 1, 2009 at 12:05:04

I don't care how seth rogany he is, he's still seth rogan.. and he's playing the green hornet, get over it.

Personally I'm rooting for him, as all other nerds on this website should be doing. How many of you are fat, sit around playing video games, play that hero clix game, read comics and watch Battlestar Galactica?

And then how many have pretended to be superheroes or dreamed of playing one in a movie?

Give it up for the man for being a huge nerd, and fat, and STILL managing to portray a hero in a movie. He's living OUR dream.

Good for him.

The rest can sit in their own puddles of mediocrity and flop sweat.

I'm with Bucknakedavenger. I hope this movie will be good, and I really hope Seth Rogen can surprise people.

Just because Seth's never been in this type of movie before doesn't mean he's incapable...there's a first time for everything. Glad to hear I'm not only one rooting for him.

I think Seth Rogan can do it! I remember reading that Michael Keaton got a lot of crap when he was cast as Batman. Keaton was never considered an action star before 1989's Batman. Keaton's casting caused a controversy amongst comic book fans, with 50,000 protest letters sent to Warner Bros. offices. And look how successful that movie turned out to be.

I'm sure the director knows what he's doing. There's always people complaining. After all of Michael Bay's death threats, that first Transformers movie didn't do so bad...

Am I seeing double? Or is there a second Green Hornet in the background? Which one is Rogen and which one is the stunt dude?

Posted by: Mike_Weezey on October 1, 2009 at 12:54:54

Looks like a lot of fun

Posted by: don on October 1, 2009 at 12:58:28

If you click on the link, there's more picture. Yes that's Seth in costume while his stunt double sitting in the background

Posted by: Fuzzy Dan on October 1, 2009 at 12:58:57

The stunt doubles are in the background. That is Seth Rogen in full costume.

not dark enough

Posted by: ectoguy69 on October 1, 2009 at 13:09:25

I just hope it is not like the Shadow.

Posted by: Dwhite on October 1, 2009 at 13:11:17

It's funny. I recall the same comments twards Heath Ledger...the whole "THE DUDE FROM BROKEBACK?! WTF!" and we all know how well that worked

Posted by: the riddler on October 1, 2009 at 13:12:04

OMG! It's THE RIDDLER!

Posted by: Sol on October 1, 2009 at 13:20:14

There's no way around it for me: That is an excellent picture. A great action shot and Mr. Rogen looks great.

I loved "The Shadow", by the way. For me it is one of the top genre pictures to date. In style, it was right on the mark, and they did a brilliant job comboning the radio and the pulp characterizations.

"not dark enough"....? That is such a cliche comment----about a few photos...? Wow, at least wait until you see a teaser trailer.

Posted by: anLAtrick on October 1, 2009 at 13:26:56

Fantastic! This movie looks rad and I'm soooooooo tired of hearing all 100 green hornet fans complain about Rogen and the integrity of a radio show from the 1900s. He wrote the movie, he got some rockin' talent and he's buff and committed.

He's living the dream! So cool. I want to play a super hero! And I'm a girl!

It's all happening!

Posted by: Badger on October 1, 2009 at 13:43:26

Thumbs up!! The costumes are perfect, the car is perfect! I'm excited!!

Posted by: Triumph on October 1, 2009 at 14:08:42

This movie is exactly what I've been looking for..for me to poop on!!!

Posted by: 5p1d3r on October 1, 2009 at 14:12:17

I'm so glad they kept the look. When has Seth Rogan ever done a movie that you didn't like him in?! i think this will be the turning pint in his career.

Posted by: Thatguy on October 1, 2009 at 14:12:40

That IS the Green Hornet, no way around it.

Posted by: YellowBasterd on October 1, 2009 at 14:28:10

Just awesome, also you can kind of see the hornet gun in his hand.

Posted by: paul on October 1, 2009 at 14:31:10

All TV to movie films have really been bombs. The news of Seth being the Hornet crushed my George Clooney/Let Li thoughts. Well, this looks like the Green Hornet, let's hope they stay true to character and not turn it into a comedy.

Getting a little tired of "Seth Rogen is a hero" and "Seth is living our dream" nonsense from some of these comments--If Rogen wants to be a real hero, become a firefighter or a paramedic. If he is playing a role he is not suited for in a "hero" film, he is fulfilling his own ego. Rogen has damned himself by playing the basically the same character (himself) in every film he has been in--is that "self" hero material? Hell no. And we, who are not big underdog supporters in this case (and don't bring up Michael Keaton here--he was backed up by genius like Tim Burton's conceptualization and Anton Furst's incredible production design, both of which are lacking here) are pretty negative about this thing because we are going to pay just like everyone else to see "Hornet," (we are negative but give it a chance anyway--who doesn't want this to be a good film?) and have a dire feeling it is going to be nothing but a vanity project (ie a crappy movie) for a fat guy who has done nothing but comedy (IE A FAT WASTE OF MONEY). If someone with a little action cred had taken the role, fine, but if it sounds hokey, it already has one strike against it. And, sorry, Rogen fighting bad guys is HOKEY.

It's sad that they had to elevate the white guy on a pad to make the asian guy look shorter. What's this world coming to?

Posted by: YellowBasterd on October 1, 2009 at 16:13:18

@Be Offended
Yes Tim Burton is a visionary but at the time he did Batman all he had really done were Pee-Wee and Beetle Juice which last time I checked were comedies. Have you ever seen a Michel Gondry music video, he kind of comes off as a visionary too. Also, all anyone has seen is a few outdoor sequences so how do you have any idea about the production design.

I don't want to get into a semantics argument but in regards to Rogen, we are talking about living the dream of playing a super hero(which do not really exist) not a real world hero. I know I'm inviting backlash on this next comment, but if you don't like it then don't read what other people write.
