The Los Angeles Times has revealed more locations that Columbia Pictures will film The Green Hornet:

The movie began filming last week at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City and Friday will be filming in Chinatown, where Kato has an apartment. Over the next three months, the production will shoot in Sun Valley, Holmby Hills, Bel-Air, Hawthorne and various locations downtown, including City Hall and the Los Angeles Times building on West 1st Street, which will stand in for the fictional newspaper where Reid works.

Directed by Michel Gondry, the comic book adaptation stars Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour and Tom Wilkinson. It hits theaters on December 17, 2010.

I just saw footage on TMZ of the Black Beauty being run into a wall during a filming mishap...ooo there's a guy who just lost his job!

From the images seen so far, it seems they have paid homage to the old TV show visually. Whether it will be any good remains to be seen...

Seriously, who gives a damn about The Green Hornet?

The original fanbase to this material is either living in an assisted retirement facility or is dead. This movie's going to tank becuase it has the most unlikely cast protagonist in the world (Seriously, Seth Rogan?!?!?!?!) and is based on material so old that no one remembers it.

In fact, if it wasn't for Bruce Lee's involvement on the original television series, no one would remember the show and it would be another memory destined for 3:00 AM showings on the cable channel TV LAND.

Remember those geniuses who thought a movie based on "The Shadow" or "The Phantom" -- both great characters, and might I add, enjoyable movies, too -- would fly in the 1990's? Yeah, well, you can add "The Green Hornet" to the growing pulp-comics-that-bomb-at-the-box-office cavalcade.

I have Faith in This Movie :)

Shove this movie to the toilet bowl.. Will anyone be convinced and sold that Seth Rogen IS the Green Hornet? ... compared to Van Williams who's 75 now according to Wikipedia, I'll take him over Seth Rogen anytime.

Posted by: Ray-Ray on September 10, 2009 at 08:31:22

Okay, let's resolve this once and for all! Put Galen Gering -- a splitting image of Van Williams -- in the title role and re-cast Seth Rogen as the bumbling reporter Mike Axford. And to pay homage to the '60s series, allow Van Williams to make a cameo. Problem solved, people!

I heard that Wolverine is the main villain in this movie.

I was not a fan of the t.v. show but if the trailer gets my attention I will check this movie out.

I still don't get why in the world Seth Rogen thinks that he is the "Guy" to play the title character...I mean...I can't take this guy seriously-even if they approach this movie with a bit more sense of humor...I still can't see this guy playing the Green Hornet! It's the same thing if you casted Tom Hanks (respectable actor) to play Green Arrow or Hawkeye...or maybe Adam Sandler as Atom or Antman...it just doesn't work!

I was one of the ones who said give Frank Miller a chance, and that the Spirit would be a good movie. Obviously, I was wrong. I was also one of the ones with great expectations for Watchmen, and though visually, it was a stunning experience, it left me wanting.

This is a movie that just has had too much bad luck from the start, and seems like it's only being made because they don't want to lose any more money on it due to setbacks.

Will have to see a trailer, and perhaps a fan review of the finished product before I spring for a ticket and popcorn for this flick.

Good Luck

Fans of the Green Hornet do NOT want Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet. He is totally wrong for this.
Sony is insane not not notice tht Seth Rogen is no longer the golden boy he was in 2007.

TRON LEGACY will kill this crapfest, rightly so!

You just might be the only one, my friend.
Maybe superherohype shouldn't post news about this movie anymore. It seems to bring out the worst in everyone.

Seth Rogen couldn't whip his way out of a wet paper bag. I'm a huge Green Hornet fan (black/white serials, comics,William/Lee show) and very disappointed that Rogen has taken such interest in this movie, but I decided to do the reasonable thing and download this movie on the internet. Screw you Hollywood.

This movie is like a smelly fart.

Posted by: Wolverine_X on September 11, 2009 at 19:07:38

The guy's that will invest their money on this should wipe theyr ass with it. It would get better use.

Posted by: pjm on September 13, 2009 at 14:24:20

seth rogen isnt my idea of a superhero. The guy is a fat slob and Kato doesnt look like Kato. Ill wait if the reviews are lousy I won't see the movie. Also Nick cage isn't in the movie probally he should have been the Hornet, better choice.

Posted by: Johnnny 5 on September 13, 2009 at 23:10:45

I think that the movie should get Nick Cage as the main villain, Benjamin Gates. He can steal an ancient artifact with mysterious powers that was eaten by the overweight Hornet. Gates could then find a map that looks oddly like the results from an upper-endoscopy that he uses to eventually pull the artifact from Seth Rogen's lower bowels. This would be the movie of the year: National **** Treasure.

why is everyone so against seth rogan? and who is he??! Sorry, but i don't know him at all.
I WILL SUPPORT THE MOVIE FOR JAY!

Posted by: Pete on September 23, 2009 at 23:53:14

Since 1980, they've made two 'Lone Ranger" films that tanked due to the horrible casting and lousy plot lines. Now Hollywierd is trying their hand at The Green Hornet. Really...Seth Rogan? Waaay bad choice. And kato looks like he should be in a weight loss camp. I'd lie to say we should give it a chance like we did with Mike Keaton in Batman...but then, Keaton can actually act if he needs to. What next? Mini-me as Superman?

Posted by: JAY CHOU ROCKS MY WORLD on September 24, 2009 at 03:22:07

Poor Jay, he has to put on weight to play kato as the director said that he was too skinny standing beside seth rogan. why can't seth lose weight instead? SUPPORT JAY CHOU FOREVER!
