So is this going to be a serious movie or a comedy? I hate when they re-movies that I used to watch and make them silly.

It may not be the best screenshots in theworld....but it sems to follow old scholl with the story

Ya know what? I'm genuinely excited about this movie. It's gonna be a lot better than you all are expecting.

i really do hope the movie does well. maybe i'm just used to bruce lee's kato, but i'm thinkin this kato needs a damn shave cuz i always thought kato was clean shaven. i guess 5 o'clock shadow makes you a badass nowadays... go get 'em hornet.

Posted by: mojo jo-jo on September 6, 2009 at 02:13:39

also, i was referring to the first photo. it just kinda looked like he didn't shave. guess it's the lighting. peace.

the man in the mask is not Jay (he is in the pic with Diaz) , I'm asian and I understand that sometime you guy from the western get confuse about Asian looks, same problem that occur to Rain!, ha ha but it's OK, just so you know

Looks like ****, shut this picture down until A: they get a better ACTOR for Green Hornet and not a 1 trick pony fat ass like rogan
B: they use jet li as kato
C: Bruce Lee comes back from the dead
If none of those things happen, shut this **** down.

I agree with UMART the actor in the Kato mask is at least 20 years older than Jay...more than likely the stuntman...considering this is based on a television show as long as we don't get an Adam West style flick I'll be happy...

Who ever can look at the original green hornet now and really not laugh at a single ep has no humor

Posted by: Brian Urso on September 6, 2009 at 02:48:26

Every body who keeps comparing this to the 60's show, IT WAS A RADIO SERIAL FIRST THEN A PULP! JESUS! GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT

THe film wiLL be good.

If Nicolas Cage is the only thing recommending this movie, then the line to the crapper begins HERE, and it will be a lot longer than the one to the box office.

was going to see this, but not now!

Wow you people are so hard to please! The only thing we should be taking from these photos are the outfits...Please tell me you cant argue there

Posted by: Candlelight on September 6, 2009 at 03:24:19

Wow...that's...disappointing.

For a first look it's pretty weak.
Hopefully, the action will make up where the look lacks.

I do not know why you guys are hating on Seth. 1) He lost a lot of wait for this movie. Have you guys seen him, he looks in better shape than the original guy. 2) He seens to be taking the role very seriously from what I have read.

Also, you see else there? I do not know about you but Cameron Diaz seems like a pretty bug abot to me, so the movie is going to be star packed.

Posted by: Jason Powell on September 6, 2009 at 03:30:33

^I meant "lost a lot of weight" and "He Seems to be taking..." and "you see who else is there" and "...pretty big star to me" - sorry guys I just woke up :P

anyone consider that the person in the Kato mask besides being a likely stunt double, could also potentially be a decoy?

Posted by: senorashish on September 6, 2009 at 04:54:28

AHAHAHA!AHA!AHA! HAHHAHH! AH! HHAH! AH!

Who's actually going to see this movie? Seriously, Seth Rogan was the "it" guy for, like, two movies -- "Knocked Up" and "Superbad" -- and that's it. Who in their effing mind decided that he would be right for the role of The Green Hornet?

I remember years back Robert Smigel (the voice of Triumph The Insult Comic Dog on Conan O'Brien) almost had a "Green Lantern" script greenlit. The script would star Jack Black as Green Lantern and the plot of the film would have Hal Jordan as a fat slob who eats horse rectum on "Fear Factor" and ends up winning a Green Lantern ring as his prize. Seriously, no joke. Just Google "Jack Black Green Lantern" or better yet "Robert Smigel Green Lantern" and read the results. Anyways, I have a feeling that this Seth Rogan film will be in the same vein as the proposed Smigel "Green Lantern" film -- desecrating the original idea by crapping all over it and making it for cheap laughs.

But then again, you have a competent director like Michel Gondry at the helm. But then again, he is known for his eccentricities so... I don't know.

I think this film will go the way of "The Shadow" (1994) or "The Phantom" (1996). Despite the big cast and great production value involved in "The Green Hornet," the fans or what remains of the original fanbase are either living in an assisted living facility or are dead and won't show up to make this film into a box office hit and will end up tanking just like "The Shadow" and "The Phantom." I mean, the world is screaming for a new Superman film. But no one really gives a rats ass about "The Green Hornet." No one.

Posted by: senorashish on September 6, 2009 at 05:31:29

I never understood the obsession to make a "Green Hornet" film. I mean, Kevin Smith was going to do it, then Jake Gyllenhaal was attached at one point, rumors were swirling about George Clooney, and now Seth Rogen is FINALLY making the film.

But seriously, does the average person know who The Green Hornet is? No. And is the public clamoring for a Green Hornet movie? No. So I really don't understand this need to make the film.

It's GOTTA be better than the Spirit? Right? Right? (crickets chirping)
