Never heard of the Green hornet since they mention Seth Rogen was attached to this project.

Seth Rogan never inspires me with confidence. Doing a comedy with lots of gross out sex jokes is one thing, but I want to be able to take this movie seriously.
Let's hope he's got some Michael Keaton in him.

lol u want to take a comic book movie "seriously" ?? lol lol hahahah....seth rogan is perfect for a comic book movie...

Seth Rogen as Green Hornet is terrible casting. The man looks like a muppet.
Posted by: Joel1245 on September 5, 2009 at 02:17:15
Yeah, I have to say I'm not excited to see this with Seth Rogan in it. I was before I heard that but I know for sure that this movie will be in the theater and then out. That' usually the way Hollywood is playing it these days.

Seth Rogan just seems so wrong for this part. You might as well get Jim Carrey to play Superman in the next Superman reboot.

If anyone is taking this film as a serious comic book movie must be clearly insane. Rogen will be make a goofy performance. This guy is not an action hero or a ladies man. He is a comedian and has been playing comedic roles plain and simple. JUST LOOK AT THOSE PICS!!!
Posted by: JoJo DoJo on September 5, 2009 at 02:31:06
Well I remember when TONS of people complained when good old Michael Keaton was cast as Batman and well...that turned out decent. So let's give Rogan a shot before we start hating.

De you can't expect us to believe Seth Rogen could be a hero let alone kick ass. He looks like a slob in these photos and has played a fat slob his whole career. There's no way this movie can be any good, not after Stephen Chow has departed it. If anything, they are going to be mocking and lambasting hero movies with stoner jokes and gags and well, that doesn't sit well with me. This is a total ego piece for Seth Rogen. **** you you fat ****ing bastard, you are a fatass abd look nothing resembling a hero. **** you for letting your ego for wanting to ruin a kickass old school hero with your lame, stoner humor and your bloated slob visage. You're not a hero, you're a stoner slob and that's how I will always no you. Your career is played out!
Posted by: Moviesnob on September 5, 2009 at 03:18:46
And yeah, this is all about Seth Rogen wanting to be an action star and trying to show his fans he can kick ass but that's a fail. He's a lardass stoner and now that someone said it, he does look like a ****ing Muppet. Like that brown bear who wears the hat! Ahahaha what a mockery. And Cameron Diaz, please act and dress your age. You're not 25 anymore, you're a leather handbag resembling a young cougar so act like it. You need to start taking roles appropriate to your age, not your shoe size / I.Q..
Posted by: SETH ROGAN IS A PURE DOUCHE!!! on September 5, 2009 at 03:19:23

HES RUDE VERY IGNORENT AND VERY MUCH LOVES TO BELITTLE AND TALK DOWN TO PEOPLE AND HE REFUSES TO GIVE AUTOGRAPHES TO THE PEOPLE WHO PUT HIM WHERE HE IS TODAY!!!! SERIOUSLY I AM NOT A FAN OF HIS ANYMORE AND WILL NEVER BE AGAIN!!! SETH I HOPE YOU SOMEHOE SEE THIS SH IT AND I HOPE YOU SOMEHOW REALIZE YOU ARE A FAT TALENTLESS RETARDED FU CK HEAD!!!! Posted by: Seth Rogan ate my baby on September 5, 2009 at 03:52:49
I met Seth once while at the Cheesecake factory in Salt Lake, Utah and Seth ordered like chicken dumplings or something and when they came out he started screaming at the waitress about how they were the worst dumplings he had ever had and that he could eat a live baby and feel more flavorful satisfaction then he could from those dumplings... Then he grabbed my 8 month old baby and ate it! Honestly I have to say that judging by the look on his face afterward that he wasn't lying. He really did get more satisfaction out of eating my baby. I HOPE YOU READ THIS ONE DAY AND REALIZE THAT THERE IS A NOBODY OUT IN NOWHERE THAT THINKS YOU ARE NOTHING AND THAT THAT IS HOW I WILL ALWAYS NO YOU... but if you are real nice I might just yes you;)

OKAY!! SEEMS THERE ARE ALOT OF SETH ROGEN HATERS ON THIS BLOG. U all should chill out and let the movie decide for itself when released. Michael Keaton was belittled the same way when first stated that he would be performing Bruce Wayne in 1989's BATMAN. He, to me, is still the best Batman, in some fashion. Let Seth Rogen play his part as the Green Hornet and then contest what the movie became after the fact.
Remember people, we all roled our eyes when first announced heath Ledger (rest his soul) would be taking on the role as the Joker. Now 1 billion dollars, and an Oscar later he is considered the best Joker ever, and possibly the most convincing comic book villain to dazzle the screen.
Give the man a chance.

Maybe that comment about him being a **** in real life could be true. Funny thing is the only reason Cameron Diaz was cast as the love interest because she's probably Rogen's celebrity crush. She's like 10 years older than him haha and I have full faith in the film due to Michel Gondry's excellent directing style.
And for your information, Mark Hamill is the best Joker and Kevin Conroy is Batman.

Idioteque speaks the truth. I take it you've been playing Batman: Arkham Asylum like EVERYBODY SHOULD.
Anyway. There's something fishy about Seth Rogan. He kind of annoys me but for no particular reason. I was under the impression that Green Hornet was not supposed to be particularly funny but then again I've never actually seen or read it. If the original series was also a comedy then this film should be alright. If the tone has changed, then this film will be pooh.

Wow. I had no idea that so many people disliked me. I'll certainly do my best with the White Hornet, since it was always my favorite comic from when I was a kid. What's that? It's the 'Green' Hornet? Are you sure? Ok...whatever...that's what I meant...'Green' Hornet. Like I was saying, it was my favorite from when I was a kid. I just LOVED the idea that Peter got bit by a nuclear spider or something and gave him all kinds of powers... What's that? Spider Man? Well, who the hell is this Hornet guy? Where's my friggin agent! Hector! Get your hind quarters over here and explain to me why I'm doing this white faced hornet thing!! Does the character AT LEAST drink and get high? PLEASE tell me he drinks and gets high!!!

Do you guys want the same movie over and over again or do you want something different. Almost everything this guy has written has been good so give him a break. Atleast he'll put a different spin on the movie instead of the same boring crap that's out there. You guys want a normal action movie but will complain that it was boring, unoriginal etc. But he tries something different and you criticize him for that.
Posted by: superdude on September 5, 2009 at 08:31:51
God this movie is gonna suck. Seth Rogen is a ****ing joke. I hope he drops dead on the set of this ****ty ****ing movie that will bomb and will never be seen again.
Posted by: Steve the Dude on September 5, 2009 at 08:32:07
Michael Keaton did Clean & Sober before Batman.
Heath Ledger did plenty of action films before Brokeback Mountain.
The new Black Beauty is the same Make an model as the 1966 Black Beauty.
Cameron Diaz is playing Casey, she resembles Wende Wagner.
Jay Chou is playing Kato, he resembles Briuce Lee.
Seth Rogen is playing Britt Reid. He does NOT look like Van Williams at all.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?
ALL HAIL TRON LEGACY!!!

None of you even knew what Green Hornet was until Seth Rogen started this. Now you're all complaining "Oh woe is me Seth Rogen is going to ruin this movie about a character I never knew anything about in the first place! My life is a tragedy!" I "lol" at you babies. Go get your diapers changed and move on to complaining about the next "completely ruined" movie.

This is the one adaptation coming out that I can't figure out. And that is the most promising thing about it. I think we could use a movie that surprises.
Posted by: movierich on September 5, 2009 at 10:47:22
I have alot of faith in this project, maybe because I'm a fan of Seth Rogen, and I'm fond of the source material. I think we'll see a trailer by November's "2012" release, or December's "Sherlock Holmes". Then, I can judge whether I'd see this or "Tron Legacy" (I wasn't so big about the original "Tron", but the trailer was pretty sweet).

Wow, Ash Bash, that has to be the longest run-on sentence ever written!
Y'know, I wish I had the powers of premonition most of you posters have. I would absolutely love to be able to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that movies are going to suck before they're even made! I'm fairly certain I'll be attending both Hornet and Tron the first weekend. Admittedly, I'll be seeing Tron Legacy first, though.

For all of you saying that you've met Seth and he was a complete A-hole...did you at least offer him a joint?
'A friend with weed, is a friend indeed!'
...and you have to take into consideration the great unwashed masses...If any of you 'were' an actor of any repute (ill or otherwise) would any of you really want the sweaty, gelatinous throngs around you when you were trying to eat or just get from one place to the next?
Talk about being a buzz kill!
Now I haven't heard any of the old radio series or the original comics from way back when, but I do remember the TV show and except for Bruce Lee kicking butt, the show was pretty lame, even when they did the crossover episodes with Batman.
But loved that theme music!
Anything that Rogen and Gondry come up with is bound to at least be on par with the old TV show if not tons better.
So stop acting like your childhood memories will forever be ruined because some studio made a movie of a lame TV show from 40 years.
But keep that hate coming!
The rest of us love laughing at your brilliant and conclusive reasoning on why you hate a movie that's just a week into filming!
(cue Green Hornet theme music!)
