Edward James Olmos Boards Green Hornet
August 10, 2009
Hollywood Snitch learned from "Battlestar Galactica" star Edward James Olmos this weekend that he has landed a role in Columbia Pictures' The Green Hornet. The site reports:
I spoke with actor Edward James Olmos yesterday at Wizard World Chicago Comic-Con. Among discussing his past ("Blade Runner") and present ("Battlestar Galactica" and the upcoming TV film), he dropped he said of his future plans that he will be joining Michel Gondry's "The Green Hornet."
"I'm on my way to do 'The Green Hornet,'" Olmos told me. "It'll be a lot of fun with Seth [Rogen], Nicolas Cage and Cameron Diaz."
There's no word yet on what role he might play. The studio announced on Friday that Jay Chou will play Kato in the July 9, 2010 release. Michel Gondry direct.

Word has it that the Green Hornet will follow the exact same story line as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, except it'll have a hint of Speed Racer, a dash of Big Mamma's House, and will have surprise guest appearances by David Hasselhoff and Gary Coleman. Is all this true?
If so, count me in!!!

THIS MOVIE WILL BE THE "FUNNY PEOPLE" OF NEXT SUMMER! It will be the movie with a creative director and an all-star cast that goes from number one at the box office to number five and ends up making less than $50 million domestic.

WTF is Sony thinking??? Does Sony not see that Funny People is BOMBING at the box office ??? What will it take for Sony to get its head out of its collective asses and finally FIRE Seth Rogen ???
Hopefully this rumor will turn out to be false. I cannot belive that the great Edward James Olmos would attach his name to this propsed crap-fest!!!

What the Frack is going on? Olmos is a great character actor and i'm sure whatever role he's playing will be done well. There are a lot of stars but they're not fanboy stars so we should see them in a new light.

Booyah all you haters! This movie will actually surprise the hell out of everyone and be pretty good. And Seth Rogen will do well in the role. Edward J. Olmos does not sign on to do crappy movies.
You'll see hatin' losers.

Wow. (smh) What is going on with this film?! It's got star-power attatched to it but I really think that's to compensate for the lack of story. At the same time, why would these powerhouse names sign-on for this knowing the heat it's getting?
IMO, I believe this is going to go the same way as GI JOE. It's going to be given last rights online but everyone will go see it on opening weekend.

Glad to hear this film is moving right along. Keep it going guys.
But please update the car. The car looks just like the old TV show, but with more weaponry---whopee-Doo. Give us a futuristic or present day GH not the past.
