SDCC: Rogen Unveils Green Hornet's Black Beauty
Source:Edward Douglas
July 23, 2009
Comic-Con International has barely begun and already things are happening on the exhibition floor as Seth Rogen made a special appearance to unveil The Green Hornet's Black Beauty car, along with director Michel Gondry, producer Neil Moritz and co-writer Evan Goldberg. After the big reveal, Rogen did a bunch of interviews and was asked about the recent announcement that Nicolas Cage might have a role in the movie.
Rogen said that it wasn't final yet but that Cage would indeed play one of the movie's villains. "It's not 100% closed yet by any means, but we've been talking to him and he seems enthusiastic and we're great fans of his obviously, so it's exciting that it could possibly happen. He would be one of the villains so that's all I can say."
Stay tuned for more from Comic-Con over the next few days.

...i have the original series on dvd and i just dont get tired of watching it...While Seth Rogen isnt the best pick for the character, im grateful The Green Hornet is being kept alive in a new movie...now, in the whole series the Hornet only has 2 rivals, Mr. X and then theres a private detective that always wanted to unmask him, always suspecting Brit's the Hornet but never capable of proving it..

Who gives a damn about this movie?
The supporting cast seems good, the director seems capable, but Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet? I just hope this isn't some sort of comedic raping of the character.
That being said, this film is for the baby boomer generation. It's going to perform just like Alec Baldwin's "The Shadow" -- the movie was decent, but it bombed at the box office. The Shadow was old, old, and I do mean OLD news by 1994.

The Black Beauty looks great! I'm glad they didn't change it to drastically. I hope they get Nicolas Cage on board, he'd an awesome villain.

The car looks bad ass, but the movie with fat boy (always looks unwashed) Seth Rogan is going to suck.

Um...are you guys looking at the same pictures I am? Seth looks rather svelte. Looks like he's put in a lot of time getting into shape for this. Maybe you should cut the guy some slack...

the car is nice but with all the rockets and guns on it I can't tell if it is a Charger or a GTO.

Truly amazing......this makes me want to play some Twisted Metal.

Well, like everything else about this movie, the car's a ridiculous parody... not that anyone should be surprised.
Way to go, Rogan. :(

Wow. Car looks awesome!! Seth looks very trimmed down, also. I wasn't interested in this at first but I'm starting to look forward to it. Some of you people need to just go ****ing kill yourselves. All you do is troll movie boards and look for **** to ***** about. Shut the **** up. There isn't even a trailer yet....casting is not even finished. **** you and your opinions based on nothing!!
Posted by: Brand-O on July 23, 2009 at 04:48:08
Damn, Winston Wolf. People who don't agree with you should go kill themselves, huh? Harsh. I bet their negativity is corrupting your own personal views about it to drop some words like that. You don't like it, get off the boards, candy-ass.

DAMN! Seth really looks like he's getting in shape, I'm impressed. Quite inspiring for myself to lose some of this puppy chubs lol. Good for him, look forward to seeing a trailer though.
That car looks pretty damn nice also, in my opinion. Look forward to more. So glad I stayed open minded about this film. I'm starting to feel somewhat nice about this film.
Still reserve most judgement for the trailer however. Bring it on!

Wonder who will play Kato now that Stephen Chow isn't in it?
Posted by: SuperheroFan on July 23, 2009 at 07:36:41
Oh NO!!! Why did he keep that stupid OLD car? It should've been updated. This Bites!! I guess everything else is going to be just like the TV show back in the day. Might as well skip this movie and watch the old episode. Batman updated his costumes, weapons, and HIS CAR. Why didn't you?? I am so disappointed.

How the hell can this curly haired packet of pork play the GH ???
I suppose Zac Efron will be Kato

I am looking at the same pictures you are. Seth Rogen does not look ANYTHING like Van Williams, fat or slim.
Posted by: Bo on July 23, 2009 at 07:51:57
The car looks awesome. Seth looks like he has lost some weight.
Posted by: dannyb278 on July 23, 2009 at 08:17:18
what kind of car is it? Ford Galaxy mabey?
Posted by: who? on July 23, 2009 at 08:35:15
my only hope is that Seth Rogen will prove us wrong once the movie comes out the same way when Michael Keaton was cast as Batman 20 years ago and there was outrage but he proved everyone wrong after the movie came out and he became one of the best batman ever.

Seth looks great. He's inspired me to go out and exercise a little harder. Finding the right Kato will make or break this movie. The action sequences must come from Kato. I'm looking for Seth's character to come in with the gadgets.

Holy hell.
Rogen has lost a TON of weight!!
