Okay I actually have to see more footage other then the 10 minutes being shown over and spread out through multiple trailers

Rachel Nichols = gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous

THIS MOVIE LOOKS ...GRRRREEEAAAATTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: the ButnakedAvenger on August 5, 2009 at 02:01:06

if they showed 11 minutes of footage, that puts them into internet-whiners-whining-about-seeing-whole-movie-before-it-even-comes-out territory, so I think they're trying to help cut back on that. I liked how Sommers addressed how pathetic (my words, not his) it's getting.

This movie looks like it has a whole lot of action packed goodness. He's got my 11 bucks. Regal has my 16 for concession.

ummmm..is the Baroness kissing storm shadow at the end of the first TV spot? Seems kinda odd.

Wow all the hate towards this films seems random. But it will do fine without fanboys money. I know I'll be going to see it with my little bro. Both of us are stocked!

Okay, I'm starting to have great doubts again. Yahoo has a report up where they explain that critics have been barred from seeing the film before it opens. This is usually the kiss of death maneuver that studios use to make as much money as possible during the first weekend before the ugly truth about the film gets out. All involved say they are trying to prevent early ". . . damaging and inaccurate reports", but I'm not buying it.

does anyone else think that first line spoken in that first clip when he says "fear is a great motivator" sounds a little like cobra commander? As soon as I heard "fear" I thought cobra commander. I wonder if this is our first taste of Joseph Gordon Levitt's CC voice. Just a thought...

slw4836: One thing they fail to mention is that yes TF:ROTF was hammered by the critics however did it not affect people from watching it correct? My point whether or not the critics give a favorable review or not you already in your head determined if you are going to watch a movie. Once you watch it you as an individual spread the word to your friends and thats how a unfavorable reviewed movie breaks all sorts of box office records.

smart of the studio... Critics are useless. They've panned some great films this year, like TROF, Moon and Watchmen. Let the people decide for themselves.
BTW, ive already seen some bootleg footage, and it's a pretty fun movie.

You're having doubts because of that article? Three websites raved about the movie in that article. just because the idiots at entertainment weekly (here's looking at you Owen Gleiberman) don't get to see the movie before we do, that doesn't mean it's going to be bad.

I'm ready for some GI Joe goodness.

first: it seems that ever since ID4, almost EVERY summer action movie has a character that says "I have got to get me one of those!" when shown something cool. It was funny when Will Smith said it. THATS IT. Write something new.

second: I'm not a huge Joe fan, but damn, does Snake Eyes look DUMB with a mask that has lips. Who thought that would look good?!

This movie is going to be so much fun. I'm really getting anxious to see this now. It's gonna be awesome. And all you haters are just gonna have sit back and eat your crow.

Posted by: nelson on August 5, 2009 at 20:06:47

it looks like good fun and let me say this nay movie fan who goes to see a movie on the merit of a critics review is a damn fool

Posted by: cashew on August 5, 2009 at 21:47:27

"Levitt wore a mask – which was redesigned from the comics because the crew found it too reminiscent of the Ku Klux Klan"

And that is the reason why I won't be watching this movie.

Posted by: cashew on August 5, 2009 at 21:51:38

TROTF a great movie?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Fart jokes? Utter lack of respect for fan-favorite characters like Devastator? Shia La***** getting more screen time than every robot combined?

I remember Transformers used to be about Robots and their human sidekick, not Shia La*****'s college adventures with his robot buddies.

Well the movie has an %88 approval rating on RT. Critics actually like this movie. Now what do you people have to say?

Posted by: archie on August 5, 2009 at 22:22:36

^^I'd say YO JOE!!!!!

Posted by: mantickler on August 5, 2009 at 22:40:38

The Baroness's Ass + my face = Heaven

Posted by: Flint182 on August 5, 2009 at 23:45:22

sweeeeEEEEET!!!!!!

I'll be the first to admit. The moment I saw the first photos, and saw the name "Marlon Wayans" I just knew this movie was going to suck donkey balls. But after seeing all of the clips and trailers, I know otherwise. YO JOE!!!
