This video game sure has some long talky scenes. I think that may make it suck.

Marlon Wayans...Scary Movie 8?

Dear lord, can people stop being critical of this and get over the fact that it is not, repeat NOT aimed at the generation that grew up with G.I. Joe? Everyone that says that this is killing their childhood, or ruining the franchise needs to take a good long look at that statement. IT'S BASED ON A CARTOON, the reason that we all thought it was so good is because we were 9 years old! The PSA's made sense! But go back and watch an episode now, taking nostalgia aside, I think that you will see that they are similar versions of the same thing. Cheesy army hero "bang bang" good guys win. That's all.

I was excited when I heard they were making this movie. Now, I really think the movie is going to flat out suck. The whole accelerator suit thing is to much for me. I'm still going to see it in theaters because I'm holding out hope that this will turn out to be a decent movie.

People say that the look of the movie is not in line with GI JOE . That is not completly true not to long ago there was a GI JOE toy line called GI JOE SIGMA6 if you look at there desighn you will see it matches the new movie. So,it may not be what fans wanted but it is GI JOE.

Bouncy!

Its fine that its not the same GI Joe as when I was a kid. I like to see other peoples interpitations of things. Its that they have shown 10 trailers with the same footage, showen with diferent editing. And now this trailer is the first thing new and its the most unrelivant dialoge to the movie. This clip does not make me want to see the movie.

I know that this movies is based on the 80's cartoons in someway. I know that they cant make this movie look like the cartoons but there is one word on how you make a Joe movie "RESOLUTE" look for it on youtube Gi joe Resolute and there is youre movie!

New look is good. Shut yer yaps.

Posted by: fistful of boomstick on July 28, 2009 at 15:48:25

this new look suck alot and the interactive DragonBall ad made it even worse. At least make it an ad for a movie that wasn't universally despised, hell Love Guru would have been a better choice.

@ BK

Then why make a G.I. Joe movie? Or call it one?

If I grow up watching G.I. Joe...And read the comic book called G.I. Joe...And get the toys called G.I. Joe...And then a movie comes out called G.I. Joe...Are you still with me? Then, by sheer logic, shouldn't I expect G.I. Joe to be in the movie CALLED G.I. Joe?

PEOPLE JUST STOP *****ING AND SEE THE DAMN MOVIE ITS NOT EVEN OUT YET!!

attraction is about feeling and not science....so, pheramones are a myth now?

I saw this clip without any sound, did she say she hates black people or something? That would be wrong, but it'd at least make the movie half-interesting.

Posted by: movie buff on July 28, 2009 at 20:37:50

its fun reading how you idiots judge this movie so badly, yet none of you haven't even watched it yet, i don't even know how I would judge it based off the trailer, some scenes look good, and some look bad...keep the stupid comments coming...its funny

Posted by: faust on July 28, 2009 at 21:59:11

Well, the dialogue will probably kill this thing for me. Terminator Salvation showed us that action doesn't equal tension. This lineup of characters looks pretty, but I'm now having my doubts about the acting. GI Joe Resolute is awesome, and I'm afraid *that* cartoon may turn out to be better than this movie. I'm hopeful that this will give me some kind of payoff wihtout too much funny ha ha baloney.

Then he proceeds to look deeply in her eyes and say, " Would this 12 inch trouser trout swimming upstream in my drawers be quantitatve enough for you, baby?"

Posted by: BK on July 29, 2009 at 00:13:45

Wyngarde, that is probably the same thing that the kids who played with the OG Joe toys were saying when the 80's toys hit. It can still be G.I. Joe, just told a different way. Case and point, Cover songs. Same lyrics, can be totally different songs. Does it change the song...no, just seen through different eyes. Same thing here. Just because it is called GI Joe, doesn't mean that it can't be interpeted in a different way.

Uh guys......I was born in the 80s and I do not see how this is going to be bad. I mean one lame joke does not make it a bad representation. I think this is going to be a fun movie.

Racheal Evan Wood Is killing the character of scarlet, and wayans well i wont go there, the only people that seem to actually have the characters down are Dennis Quaid and ray Park. destro would be correct if he had the ****ING MASK, i love these gen y;s who say he doesnt have the mask because his face doesnt get deformed yet...*******S THE MASK IS NOT TO HIDE HIS DEFORMITY (WHICH HE DOESNT HAVE) IT IS HIS MANTLE OF HIS FAMLY OF ARMS DEALERS FOR ****S SAKE!
