Saw an early screening of this movie last week. Terrible to say the least. Although, not nearly a terrible as Transformers 2.

I think this movie will be a fun time at the theaters and it will certainly be better than the transformers travesty.I'll be definitely seeing this.

i dont care what anyone says i will guarantee it will be better then dragon ball if the story is put together right unlike TF2 wich i did like for the action. gijoe will be just fine we still havent seen cobra comander only destro before the mask. if u guys remember gijoe like transformers were made to sell toys
the joes allways had new things in every episode no this isnt saveing privet ryan but it does look like the cartoon i watched with srg slauter (who i hope has a cameo) come to life its going to be a fun entertaining movie if thats not for u wait till oct when all the oscar type movies that noone see's but gijoe people will see

I think this will be a good movie. I dont know why everyone keeps downing on T2 it was a great movie. Stop being haters

Posted by: Dmoney on July 27, 2009 at 08:11:37

Transformers 2 was good up until a point and then it went down hill fast... The movie was terrible. G.I. Joe looks cool... I have a feeling it will be a fun movie.

Posted by: Anton Ego on July 27, 2009 at 08:33:24

That point was right after the lights in the theater went down.

Posted by: Dragonfire on July 27, 2009 at 08:34:31

Transformers 2 is my favourite this one will be my next one

WHY HAVE WE NOT SEEN COBRA COMMANDER YET!!!!YOU CANT HAVE THE MOVIE WITHOUT HIM.HES NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN THE CAST FOR THE MOVIE.

Posted by: entropics on July 27, 2009 at 09:59:40

if you want to see what Cobra Commander and Destro look like go to Walmart and check out the toys.

Where did the hate go? People are actually going to give it a fair chance? I'm shocked! @TrivialPsychic you are dead on. It might not be the blockbuster of the summer but at least it won't be a live action cartoon.

Posted by: NeoSamurai on July 27, 2009 at 11:21:41

@TrivialPsychic

Or the movie could have tried to be more like the comic book which lasted longer than the cartoon in both issues vs. episodes and years and did introduce new storytelling styles. Or it could've been more like GIJoe Resolute.

But to each their own.

This Movie is G.I.JOE the Rise of Corba... Dont you people that keep crying about C.C. get it. I guarentee we will see the commander by movie's end!

Posted by: Kelly Slater on July 27, 2009 at 12:35:02

Better yet, go to Barns and Nobel and read the Movie daptation:

Cobra Commander name is Rex Lewis, who becomes the Doctor, who then becomes CC. He is also the Baroness' brother. Her real name is Ana Lewis. Rex and Duke are in the same unit. Rex is believed dead, Ana blames Duke- they break up etc... CC and Destro don't wear their masks until the very end- Don't expect to see them in masks at all during the entire movie. From the reviews from those who have seen it, the movie adaption is pretty much the real thing. That said, from what I read, this is nothing more than taking several Star Wars concepts into a pathetic G.I. Joe movie. CC and Destro wear masks because they are disfigured by fire-Darth Vader x 2.

Posted by: eric on July 27, 2009 at 16:15:46

Its usually hit or miss with Dennis Quaid but the movie truly does look completely awful. not there faults though, it might be a good effort but there hasn't been a good cartoon movie besides transformers 1 I mean go through it Transformers 2 speed racer Scooby Doo dragon ball Z we should just bail on that idea

Posted by: Red Mask on July 27, 2009 at 17:51:08
