UPDATE: New G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Clip!

MTV has premiered a new extended clip from G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra during the MTV Movie Awards pre-show. This is a slightly extended version of the clip that was shown at ShoWest a few months back, plus some extra footage, which you can watch below.

Opening August 7th, the Stephen Sommers-direct big screen adaptation stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung Hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Said Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Dennis Quaid.

I dont care what anyone says, this movie is going to be awesome. Ya it doesnt follow the original GI Joe's story line to a T but what can you do. Just enjoy the movie for what it is. Oh and the suits are just a way to explain all the crazy non realistic stunts that are going to be pulled in this movie so stop complaining about them

Looks awesome. I'm really glad I have no emotional attachmetn to this franchise so I can enjoy it without comparing it to the original. Oh, and the suits are awesome!!!

I'm not a big Joe fan, but I think the suits are stupid. Doesn't anyone else miss good old fashion real stunt work? I mean having Iron Man being partially CG was fine but forgive me if I don't have as much faith in this one. Hopefully the accelerator suits won't be a major factor in the movie.

I am a Joe fan, and can't wait to take my 2 boys to see this. I wanted a "live" Joe film so bad as a kid. So what if it's different...The Dark Knight was about as far as a movie can get from source material, and it was praised by everyone, including fanboys.

I still have high hopes for this movie but those suits are stupid as all get out. If they wanted stuff like that they should have had the B.A.Ts in the movie. In the first teaser I thought they were B.A.Ts. When I found out they were the JOEs I was a little disappointed.

I need to see more.
