The trailer for the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra video game is now online and can be watched using the player below. Here's how EA describes its game:

As COBRA unleashes its deadliest plot yet, the G.I. JOE TEAM is counting on YOU to lead the counterattack. Every mission is critical - and so is every G.I. JOE. Your hand-picked team of heroes must battle COBRA organization's deadliest bosses as you snake your way through enemy territory.

Pick up the action where the blockbuster movie leaves off.

* Assemble an elite G.I. JOE team and call in reinforcements when the mission gets down and dirty.
* Choose from 12 of your favorite G.I. JOEs, each with a unique set of skills and weapons.
* Gear up with the latest in high-tech gadgets.
* Jump into, steal or hijack powerful G.I. JOE or COBRA vehicles, then fire away!

Holy CRAP that looks horrible!!! Was that the PS2 preview? Seriously! That looks freaking awful! Why oh WHY can't they make a good videogame based on a movie? It's a freaking military shooter with cool weapons and vehicles, how hard can it be? You take a little 'Mercenaries 2', a little 'Call Of Duty 4' and a little 'Ghost Recon Warrior' and throw Joe and Cobra skins on it. Done. Seriously. It's that easy and you end up with a legitimately awesome game, based on the movie. But that...that...THAT was a travesty against not only next generation consoles or military shooters, but G.I.Joe itself. FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game trailer (and quite possibly the game itself) goes beyond adding insult to injury.

This is being shoved into the girl's bathroom and the girls give you a wedgie and then do your hair and make-up and then shove you back out into the hall...

...where you are subsequently stomped and beaten by the kids from the learning disabilities trailer and then sent to the guidance counselor...

...who tells you everything will be all right (while fighting back tears of laughter, but fails and belly laughs in your face). He falls out of his chair and rolls around on the floor...

...and because you (the above game trailer) suck, you laugh with him. You leave the office feeling good about yourself only to realize minutes later that you were actually laughing at yourself (because, once again, you suck)...

...and so you continue through the rest of the day, forgetting that you STILL have your wedgie and you STILL have hair and make-up. At the end of the day, instead of catching the bus you are run over by it...

...and your wedgied, Mariah Carey looking corpse is video taped and shown all over the internet and your local news channel. Your family is chased out of town and your last name becomes synonymous with "laughing stock."

That's what this game trailer is.

I hope that wasn't a next gen console trailer. If it was that was awful. could be a fun game i suppose. Not that movie tie in games ever really turn out good

Maybe this is the trailer for the PS2 version of the game? I mean, they're still making games for PS2. Because if it is for PS3, Xbox360 or even the Wii, those graphics are pretty inferior.

this was indeed a next gen game trailer, its only slated to come out on the 360 and ps3, what the heck is wrong with EA, did they decide to just randomly pick an engine for this game and went with it , even if it was a ps1 or even nintendo 64 game engine, its almost like they gave this game licence to some kid , with a ps1 engine and 7 year old computer, and told him to make something they could pass for a game, what the heck were they thinking, using the phrase, it hit every hugly brench on the way down, would be an insult to that phrase itself, yeah thats how bad this game trailer looks, its almost like someone forgot that this is meant for the next gen consoles, and not a downgrade to the old consoles....

Action Man V.G for the PS1 was better looking than this. The Movie looks Incredible,but this...THIS!...My God...EUGH!!! That reminds,Ive got a Commodore 64 if anyone wants to buy it? Or the Atari.
