G.I. Joe Will Show the Rise of Cobra

The Cinema EXPO in Amsterdam, The Netherlands kicked-off today and a new poster for Paramount Pictures' "G.I. Joe" movie has already been spotted. The poster, featuring Channing Tatum as Duke, reveals that the full title for the movie is G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. What we're not sure about is if this is only for international territories, but the fact that Hasbro has the domain name GIJoeRiseofCobra.com registered is a pretty good indication that it will be the title here as well.

The Stephen Sommers-directed film, co-starring Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Arnold Vosloo and Christopher Eccleston, opens in theaters on August 7, 2009.

Is that Duke or a new Big Boss clone? Why is Duke wearing a sneaking suit? Why can't they make a G.I. Joe in which the characters wear military fatigues? I don't want all this armor crap on the Joes though I guess it's a bit better than a football or baseball jersey, but a bit of camouflage would have been nice if not better!

Not one thing about that poster says GI Joe.

It could be a photo from the movies: The Rock or Navy Seals. It looks like a damned recruiting poster for the army.

Whoever came up with this idea is an idiot who should be fired.

Snakes Eyes or something that is uniquely GI Joe should be in the poster.

It would be like having a Transformers poster and only showing a car (not transformed), just a plane old car and then sticking Transformers sticker on it. How stupid are the people who are promoting this thing.

hey morons, they will have MORE posters, each with a different character.. see how that one says DUKE... there will be ones for snake eyes, etc... dont get too worried, christ!

and another thing, if i hear one more retard complain about their outfits, im gonna go on a killing spree.. think about it, how god damn dumb would it look if you see an "army" of super soldiers running into battle in nothing but a navy suit and some military garb.. come on.. think about it!!!!!

AWESOME! I wanna see this movie and noone can say it's gonna suck before they see it. Look at the Hulk, that movie proved many people wrong. Don't criticize a movie before you see it, that's like complaining about what you ate before you eat it.

I'm very excited about this movie, just about everything I've seen so far is getting me hyped, I need to see more of Cobra yet, especially Cobra Commander, but except for that, I haven't been disappointed.

This has to be the Most STUPID movie of all-time. Why??? Its because all the charaacters all look like a Swat team, nothing that makes them unique as in the cartoons or comics or even action figures!!
