This is a movie.

DC's straight-to-DVD animated features are leagues ahead of Marvel's.

LeVar Burton as Black Lightning? AWESOME! Maybe Mr. Burton can read a comic book to us during the next episode of "Reading Rainbow."

Why can't Clark Kent wear a fake mustache and a fake beard along with having messed up hair that is combed down along with big bulky glasses? That would perfectly conceal his identity from Lex Luthor and the likes. That being said, I'm looking forward to this film.

This movie was a good movie, i downloaded it a few days ago ..I have the graphic novel of this at home ..and they have made a few changes to this storyline ....like the whole metor hitting earth Lex asked superman to turn himself in because he felt sups was responsible for it because hes from the planet and when hawkman and marvel attacked sups and batman they did it because they were being mind controlled, not by grog, and GL was part of the superhero team against them as well...also batman wasnt the one to go up in the rocket it was captain atom ....they made alot of changes in this movie ..which do work ..but i think if they stuck to the comic it would be just as good maybe better

Posted by: fijianbrownguy on September 28, 2009 at 03:03:12

oh and major force became some sort of monster in tokyo ..when they went to get the rocket from the kid .......they made alot of key changes ...

The review is right on. I enjoyed this movie very much. I saw this and it was pretty much an hour of fighting. Not a lot of dialogue. Don't expect strong emotional character development or anything like that. It's like those Dragonball Z movies. Although, you do get a lot of dialogue when it comes to Allison Mack's PowerGirl.

You'll enjoy it more if you know that beforehand. The most important part of that review is: "If you're a Superman or Batman fan and you're looking for some mindless comic violence, "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" is required viewing for you. If you're looking for a little deeper plot and dialogue with your animation, I suggest you go back to "Batman: The Animated Series".

Reading Rainbow Rules!, sadly the show wrapped up a little while ago thsi year, but I agree the show was awesome. I was sad to see it end.

Anyway, I don't think I have ever been more excited about one of these Marvel or DC direct to DVD films ever! It looks to be really good and well made based on what I have seen thus far.

This movie is pretty damn good I believe even the haters will enjoy this one. All you have to do is get past batman beating grundy but other than that this film show the beautiful chemistry between the bat and supes during fight scenes.
P.S. supes owns mongul (you wanna be lex's boy) loved it

Posted by: where are the justice leaguers and/or superfriends on September 28, 2009 at 07:04:36

where are the other superheroes? flash was briefly mentioned, but did not appear. shouldn't wonder woman be there with the duo? i also would have wanted to see a Supes vs. GL fight. Black Manta, Gorilla Grodd, Gigantra, Bane, etc... were there, but why wasn't Joker there? Lex is to Superman as Joker is to Batman.

I liked it. Make more.

Enjoyed it very much. I watched the Youtube download of it-I cheated! Bwahahaha!
I like the art-they looked much more like the bulked-up heroes of the comic books. Nicely done, over-all.

it was blah.

The animation was top notch, but wasn't sure much on the jagged edged character designs. Even Power Girl, at times, looked like she had male pecks. lol.

It wasn't that bad of a movie, just seemed cluttered with random characters; sorta like Marvel's X3.

Yeah I saw it over the weekend and I enjoyed the Hell out of it, its worth the watch. Probably the best cartoon superhero movie in a good while.

Posted by: trekhater on September 28, 2009 at 09:41:18

Was good - better than the last few DC releases.
On par with Marvel's animated movies - I have no idea what senorashish is thinking - must be a DC lover/Marvel hater.

Myself I have an open mind and love both DC and Marvel.

Posted by: trekhater on September 28, 2009 at 09:42:50

BTW - Captain Marvel would beat the crap outta Superman.
Nuff said. Magic is where it's at!

Screw Kryptonite.

"Lex Luthor for President with the Justice League in the service of the government. Only Batman and Superman stand against the new regime - and their disloyalty proves to be exactly what Luthor intended."

Way to rip off Marvel's Civil War idea, DC. I'll see if I can get this free online.

IT WAS AMAZING! BEST ONE SINCE NEW FRONTIER! It made me laugh, tense, and almost cry...I am just speechless any comics fan could NOT like it! Hell, my friend don't even read comics or like superheroes and he said it was the best movie he had seen in a while! GO SUPES AND BATS!

Posted by: EddyDraks on September 28, 2009 at 10:59:58

I only had one little problem with the movie, when Superman calls Batman his best friend. That just doesn't seem right to me. Over all a great movie. I still think Wonder Woman was the best one so far do.

After Wonder Woman and Green Lantern..I expected better..didn't much care for the way it was animated..seems like they can't seem to get the image of Supe's right for me in animation...thought it looked "clunky"....it was fun tough and it was good to see more of the DCU characters in the mix
