Source:Summit Entertainment
January 5, 2009
Superhero Hype! has your exclusive first look at the powers of the characters in Summit Entertainment's Push, opening in theaters on February 6th. Directed by Paul McGuigan, the action-thriller stars Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle, Djimon Hounsou, Maggie Siff and Scott Michael Campbell.
Push burrows deep into the deadly world of psychic espionage where artificially enhanced paranormal operatives have the ability to move objects with their minds, see the future, create new realities and kill without ever touching their victims. Against this setting, a young man and a teenage girl take on a clandestine agency in a race against time that will determine the future of civilization.

Not too sure about this one... we'll see. Anyone know whether this holds true to the comic?

there's a comic?

Interesting. I have never heard of this comic title, but I'm sure gonna watch the movie.
However, It resembles Watchers in a way. I mean, first we will have PUSH and then after a few months, WATCHERS. Wouldn't the audience become fed up with all those bunches of superheroes? Of course, I'm not talking us comicbooks-lovers :-)

This whole thing just sounds really childish. Like, I was writing these types of stories for English when I was in middle school, about people with really basic powers and generic names for them, and a pretty thin plot about some government agency.

I hate comics that barely6 get made and then there's adaptation's about them. It makes it seem like the only reason there IS a comic is to make a movie. That's fing dumb. Kick @$$ hasn't even cycled through the story in the comic they are filming for the movie. You know what, screw this I don't care. If you are just trying to come up with some generic story to see movie tickets I don't want your comic OR your movie.

from the looks of the trailer this might actually be an interesting movie if they dont get bogged down trying to explain everyones powers.

This movie looks interesting. Now i know what Push's about. YAY!

ummm, sentient being, the movie is called WATCHMEN, not WATCHERS
Posted by: MagicPrime on January 5, 2009 at 09:11:24
Why does this plot remind me of "Scanners"?
Posted by: Jack-a Bawa on January 5, 2009 at 10:08:52
Awesome...you mean we are gonna get not just Watchmen but also The Watchers? Gnarly! Hopefully M. Night Shyama-sumthin lalan comes out with The Watching. Sa-Weet!
WINK.

Victor it does have that sixth to eight grade feel about it, now that you mention it. Done well, however, that may not be a terrible thing. To me it seems that this will either be Heroes good or something as terrible as what Syler leaves in the toilet the morning after a trip to Erribertos.

since it's coming out in February... this movie is likely to suck

i will only see this movie for Camilla Belle she is so hot, but other from that it sounds like its been done before just with a very hot actress.

This movie is not based on a comic. But they did launch a title as a way to sell in the movie to comic book readers before relasing it

Even if I don't like Chris Evans, the rest of the cast is interesting. I could see this just for the supporting characters.

only reason to see this movie is to stare at Chris Evans! LOL

yay Camilla Belle!!! I'll watch her in anything... I consider 10000 bc and Stranger classics thanks to her ultra cuteness.

I'm dissapointed. I thought this was along the lines of "Jumper", where people have the ability to move things with their mind via telekinesis. "Pusher"

No Nick Fury, this is not a comic book. DC did do a prequel to try and rope some people in, but i doubt it has worked since this seems like a big x-men rip off. Also Nick, i bet you saw The Dark Knight so just shut up.
Posted by: Shane on January 5, 2009 at 14:38:54
And Tedzey, if you seriously enjoyed Jumper, you need to see better movies.

Victor, you've got a future writing for Hollywood. You've got the formula down cold!
