In a last-minute move, 20th Century Fox has moved back Dragonball Evolution two days so that it will open on Friday, April 10th now instead of the previously scheduled Wednesday opening. It will debut the same day that Hannah Montana The Movie and Observe and Report are released wide in theaters.

Written and directed by James Wong, the big screen adaptation stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson.

Well if it's up against Hannah Montana, it's worse than toast. Ah well, didn't look awesome anyway.

Besides, the time where a live action Dragonball movie would have been welcome has long since passed.

Its gonna bomb anyways, I was hoping it wont just to see DBZ on the big screen, but i would rather see it tank then redone right a few years later.

I saw it here in Japan. It doesn't just need to be moved back... it needs to be burned in effigy.

WTF is Omega Sheron talking about? Are you kidding me? I'm gonna watch this movie but not get my hopes up. I know it won't be a huge movie.

I rarely pre-judge films to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this doesn't resemble anything to Dragonball except the name of the movie.

This film is laced with plotholes throughout. Lackluster execution upon all aspects of the film, and it just doesn't cut it for 2009 standards. Furthermore the way the film is presented, it's evident that the team behind the film are confused at whom their target audience was. Bottom line, it was a bland film, and personally for me it was a horrible film.

It's absolutely appalling that those of whom are positive about the film claim that those who critisize it are mere fanboys who won't let go of the source material. That is an absolute joke, this film is bad, and that is common sense.

I SAW THIS IT WAS WORSE THAN ANYONE COULD IMAGINE I WANTED IT TO BE GOOD AT LEAST OKAY BUT NO COMPLETE ****!!!!

Posted by: move it on March 27, 2009 at 01:50:44

move it back to year or ten years at the most, this film is going to be **** and a waste

Posted by: Ender88 on March 27, 2009 at 01:51:20

I saw it already not in the best quality of course but i had no expectations for the film and if i did i of course would have been let down it was....well so many words can describe it but i'll just pick one stupid! and leave it at that.

Hannah MONTANA!!!!@!@1!one
Anything's better than DBE at this point...

Posted by: WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on March 27, 2009 at 02:06:59

No these movie are horrible=
The Love Guru
The Hottie and the Nottie
REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA
The Happening
1968: Tunnel Rats,
In The Name of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale,
and Postal
I Know Who Killed Me
NORBIT
Little Man
White chicks

Dragonball Evolution is no where close to as bad as these movies!

DBE is a mediocre or average movie.
You over dramatic cry baby fangirls!

spoiler the fight between piccolo and goku is 1 minute long of nothing...TERRIBLE MOVIE..it had so much potential too.

Posted by: Pyro316 on March 27, 2009 at 02:43:12

I haven't seen the movie as of yet. I plan on seeing it eventually. I don't see why people need to come in here, run their mouths and act all big and bad. If you don't like the film then just say the movie was bad and leave it at that. By running your mouth about it so much it makes you seem like a huge fan boy who wasn't satisfied cause goku didn't have enormously gigantic hair, and wasn't a little kid, or ridiculous stuff like that. Don't run your mouths. I am a DBZ fan but I already knew that this wasn't gonna be like the DB we grew up watching. I realized this along time ago. They said this is a different take on it. Either take it or leave it but if you don't like it then just say it and then shut up. Hate on the film all you want but I am giving the film a chance without thinking the movie is gonna be just like the DB world we knew. So get over it.

Posted by: NO on March 27, 2009 at 03:29:54

Dude, Pyro316.

Its not the changes that make it bad, its POORLY made film. ITS JUST PLAIN AND SIMPLE a BAD MOVIE. ACTING, PRODUCTION, WRITING, DIRECTING, CHOREOGRAPHY, ACTION, PACE, CONTINUITY, etc.

Its one of the owrst handled movies by a studio next to Lengend of Chun li. This movie insults your intelligence by being so bare boned, boring, and excrutiatingly difficult to watch. every line of dialouge is cringe inducing.

We're not psycho fan boys, we can see beyond the changes made to the material, unlike you who has yet to see it yet say we should stop complaining.

The only that reason I can figure why this movie was poorly adapted is because of budget constraint. Such franchise need mega budget to support much like the adaption for LOTR or even Titanic`s budget level in order to acheive the success.
So exactly how much did Fox invested on this property? You tell me.

Posted by: ********** on March 27, 2009 at 04:01:18

this movie sucked they basically said **** you db fans were makin this for the 5 yr olds who have no idea what dragonball is, for a company who thinks thier gunna get a trilogy out of this they should prolly make sure the first one dosnt bomb, im prety sure any one who likes db saw this online and is not goin to pay the money to see it in theatres, if i ever am drunk or stoned enouph to wanna see this again im going to steal it from blockbuster.... epic fail

Posted by: sai on March 27, 2009 at 04:50:46

It's not actually the budget that's the problem.

Posted by: heHATESeverything on March 27, 2009 at 04:56:46

ive seen a lot of movies good and bad. im pretty open minded because these are just movies. BUUUUTTTT.....this is not only a bad dragonball movie...its just a bad movie period. i kinda hope it makes some money though just so they can make another one. i mean....to see DBZ (not DB) come to life would be gnarly IF the right people were on the job. who doesnt wanna see mountains blowing up and dudes getting thrown so hard to the ground it creates craters

Posted by: i no name on March 27, 2009 at 05:15:52

goku is wearing samurai pants.. like ******* said "Epic fail". someone make a "fail" out of the movie poster so we can use it! :D hahahahaha
