IGN has debuted four posters for 20th Century Fox's Dragonball Evolution, opening in theaters on April 8. Written and directed by James Wong, the adaptation stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson.

This is going to be such a disaster! White guy to play an asian guy, gotta love the eyeliner they put on him....I guess to give a bit more of an asian look. How unfortunate. Feel sorry for all the dragonball fans

it's not going to be that bad...Thnk about Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle...Steven Chow movie's always look kind of cheesy, but are always really entertaining to watch..and the cartoon and all of it's really weak plots and cheesy story lines was also cheesy...If anything it's going to be just like the cartoon...Highly overdramatic kick ass mock crouching tiger stuf..better directed by him than by Ang Lee .. Ang Lee did it there would be some unnecessary back story and Goku fighting an invisible version of his father and two giant dogs...

only thing im really not diggin enough to complain about is the lack of krillin and instead brand new characters no one has ever heard of like mai? with such a large cast of characters what was the point of that? plus Krillin was goku's best friend all through his childhood and they just remove him?

Not that I give two sheets anyway, but if he's not supposed to be Asian, why are the other 3 chicks in the poster Asian.

Seems like racism or sexism or both...okay to have female Asians but not male?

But anyway, could care less, this movie is starting to look stupid and dumb.

I have to admit, this movie still hasn't caught me but I am really impressed/glad that they seem to have realized their mistakes and turned out a MUCH better trailer, Piccolo's finally green!

*Of course that being said, it still might suck since the fight scenes (As is usually the case with Western wirework)look corny as hell. Gotta admit though, that "Kahmehameha!" at the end was the first thing about this damn movie to get me smiling...

Justin Chatwin doesn't look like Goku! He's alright for a younger version, but what if they decide to make a sequel. If they keep Goku young it's fine I guess, but if they plan on doing Z, they need someone older, and honestly, a little bigger. Also, he didn't look American in the anime. It's Anime, they look Anime. It wouldn't matter if they got an Asian guy or a white guy. My major problem is that they changed it from being an action/adventure anime (the original, finding the dragonballs) to an action/highschool movie.

Emmy Rossum/Bulma isn't asian...so that only leaves two. However it could be argued that if Goku's white it would have screwed with Hollywood predetermined stereotypes to have him fall for someone of another race...ah well...

Mai is not a made up character she work for emperor pilaf in the cartoon. but anyways the Tick hit it right on the head everyone is complaining about not being true. and whit guys playing asian. it was made by asians Goku ia an alien and most of the characters are creatures so they arent even really asian. and the movie would be stupid if they had a talking dog as mayor a talking shape shifting pig and cat...I mean come on seriously!!!! i thinks its gonna be a good adaption and cool movie to watch. may not be whateveryone wants but it will be decent. U guys that want everything the same are IDIOTS.

This is a reck, I mean they ruined the anime I watched as a kid. That guy looks so stupid and they just put three other girls on the poster to what, make the film look more sexier?! good grief. Not gonna even try to watch this.

I was a fan of Dragonball, DBZ and GT and I'm really looking forward to this flick. Characters don't look exactly the same? Different storyline? Not realistic? That's the point guys! It's F A N T A S Y ! All the dragonball series were completely unrealistic but fun to watch. If an actor with great movies under his belt like Chow Yun Fat decided to give it a try why can't people just wait for this to come out and then judge it?
