Dragonball Trailer Coming in October

ComingSoon.net has learned that 20th Century Fox will debut the first trailer for Dragonball in theaters on October 17 with the studio's video game adaptation Max Payne, starring Mark Wahlberg. We'll have to wait and see whether Fox will release the trailer online earlier that week.

Opening on April 10, Dragonball is written/directed by James Wong and stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson.

Dragonball is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama. It was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world.

for the people who say the Dragonball movie will suck... James Wong is a great director/comedian, he made Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer, there is no better person to make this movie than him, youre all idiots with ignorant opinions!

i honestly don't know what anyone would expect from this movie as far as being hokey goes..i mean come on, the whole premise of dragonball or dragonball z or gt is hokey..just sit back you damn fanboys and have fun!

Ok I'm not saying this...but 1st? Ok ok anyway, Dragonball and Max Payne? Wow!! I feel bad for the actors. Will still watch both movies though, in DVD.

Give it a chance u just might like it. We have seen no live action footage you just might think it sets the bench mark for manga or anime movie.
There is going to be a wave of live action anime movies coming soon just an other source for hollywood to tap.

If this movie is in fact more based on the actual Japanese Dragonball and not the Americanized version, it could be good.

The movie will suck. If Speed Racer failed. " Which I thought was a prefect translation from anime to movie. Dragonball will blow! Like Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter bad! All but 2 of the actors fit, the story has been altered, and they even made up some characters.

I'm gonna take a chance and go see this movie...I have no high expectations for it to be great but I will give it a chance...I mean seriously...at least Uwe Boll isn't the guy behind it...sadly tho...he is behind Far Cry...BUMMER !!!Good Luck Dragonball!!!

Wraith, James Wong definitely did not direct Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle. That was Stephen Chow, who is producing Dragonball. Those were awesome movies, and if that were the case with Wong directing, i would be happy.

James Wong has done Final Destination, The One, Willard, blah blah. Not so good of movies.

Being a Dragonball fan, im staying optimistic, but with the rep this guy has so far, its making me doubt the credibility of this movie.

This is a blatant raping of what Akira Toriyama created. As my wife says, it has been turned into an Americanized high school teen angst drama that has very little to do with the source material and eliminated long time major characters in favor of new ones that Fox Studios found more interesting.

Fox just loves to ruin great things. X-Men should have been far better, Wolverine has huge problems, Babylon A.D. director says Fox made the movie suck, and this is no different.
