More Dragonball Photos Scanned

DBtheMovie.com has posted more scans of Dragonball photos that have appeared in an international magazine. Opening April 10, 2009, the James Wong-directed adaptation stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson.

Vandel, if you take a look at all the video game movies that were made, there has never ever really been a good one. Mortal Kombat was the closest thing to the game. Even Silent Hill had some great parts. They try to hard though when it comes to these movies. Even though alot of people our pissed off about DB, i will always go back to the fact of transformers prior to its release and how many people were pissed off about how Megatron didnt turn into a gun. Now our we here to see the storyline or to see Gokou do his Kamehameha?

I'm a huge DBZ fan, but not a big DB fan. Although I am not upset with the casting for Goku, Im hugely disappointed with the casting for yamucha and muten roshi. why is a chinese actor playing a japanese character and why is a japanese actor playing a chinese character?(although debatable due to the japanese name) Aside from that, why doesnt Goku have a tail? And hopefully gandpa gohan gets killed by an Oozaru goku early in the movie and not by Piccolo Daimasou or his goon Tamburine. Also will this movie mention that Goku is gifted with superstrength and bulletproof skin? Before anyone complains about what I just typed, got watch the episode of DB where goku gets shot by I think his name is General Blue but I could be wrong. It's the episode where Android 8 gets saved by Goku in the tall Tower. Anyways it still upsets me that Goku is 16-18 years old in the movie and a highschool student because it takes away from the innocence that the character portrayed in the DB storyline that leads him to believe later in DBZ that all evil can be persuaded to become good a la Vegita and Piccolo Jr and even Majin Buu. anyways complain at me though email. peace.

Now that I notice...Goku's hair is brown and his eyes are blue...C'mon this is a real simple thing to keep close to the original, why didn't they just changed it like in the original?

in the cartoon, goku is meant to be an asian with blonde hair not a white guy. so this movie is bogus from the get go. goku should be played by an asian actor with dyed blonde hair. this movie is so racist.

Not part of Z, again you guys expect to much from this movie that isnt even hear yet, but all you people who dog it and say they wont say it will be in the theater watching it, looking for every small detail to give it crap about. The whole, seeing it with your mom thing was actually a shot at someone else that I in turn recycled when you named dropped. Sorry about the knee jerk reaction but that's what happens when someone gets ticked off at the production of a movie.

I was a huge fan of the Wanted mini and to see the changes they made there, with Millar's approval, really left me feeling disinfranchised. So to see it happening again to DB which I've been a fan of since before it's release over here, has got me in a bit of a sour mood. Yes, saying folks are going to see this with their moms is immature but so is the handling of the feature, in my opinion. Everything looks sub par and the fact that there is no pics up of Marsters in full makeup scares be because usually that means they need to tweak it in post which means (being a student of makeup effects I kinda know what I'm talking about) that the makeup wasn't all that great.

You think I'm passing judgement blindly but I think it's safe to say that we've seen the mistakes that the Hollywood machine can make if left unchecked. Iron Man worked because Favreau kept in touch with the fans. He worked hard to keep what was important. I haven't seen one forum that addressed the fans and sorry to say, that's how comic book films differ from normal genre films and yes, this is a comic book film.

I really want to see a live action DB movie. So much so that a while back I bought a video that was suppose to be a DB movie only to find that it was probably a Turkish rip off. Disappointment was had by all since my friends were hoping it was the real deal as well.

Sorry your gf doesn't like comic book movies. My ex was always up for'em but that's neither here nor there. I suppose if it comes down to it, I'll end up seeing this. Hell, I saw Double Dragon (and secretly liked it).

I still say this movie is going to be a steaming pile of "don't step init" but that's me keeping my hopes low.

This movie would be better if done in CGI. So far this movie is not looking good but hopefully I am wrong. Dragon Ball Z fans deserve a good movie.

Stephen Chow is producing... i gotta keep the faith. Watch Kung Fu Hustle(90% on rotten tomatoes), if that imagination can be put towards Dragon Ball, we'll see... watch the movie, its one on one battles are great.

Honestly, does anyone actual think that THIS will be a good movie? I mean, I just can believe how much this will suck. I grew up loving DB and DBZ, I used to watch the reruns back in 2001, 2002, and 2003 all the time. I had all the action figures, tapes, everything. And I know this will suck.

The ONLY character who I kind of like (based on appearances) for this film is Bulma. I mean, the girl is attractive, and looks like she could be a Bulma, The clothing is similar to clothing we've seen Bulma wear before. If she actually had her hair dyed blue, she would be much better.

Oh, and Justin Chatwin isn't Goku. I don't know who the heck he's supposed to be playing, but I just can't be convinced that he's supposed to be Goku.

Now first of all, I personally don't care that Goku's played by a white guy, I've always thought that most anime characters on popular americanized anime shows look pretty white anyway.
I can totally understand why asians might be upset, but to be honest if you took a picture of Goku, showed him to somebody who'd never seen anime and didn't know who invented it I don't think too many of them would guess he was asian. That being said, to everybody bringing up the point "he's an alien, he doesn't have to be japanese", worst argument ever, same could be said of superman, do you think people would be okay if superman were played by jet li?
In the end it's all about what's gonna sell best to the intended audience e.g. depictions of jesus in africa as a black man. (apologies for the very off topic example)

why is that white boy trying to be japanese? goku has black hair, black eyes, and was made up in asia. it only makes sense that goku should have been played by an asian dude. most of these guys saying that goku is white or looks white are probably white themselves. if they aren't then they probably have something against asians.
