New Moon Beats Harry Potter and Batman

ComingSoon.net reports that The Twilight Saga: New Moon set a new midnight opening record with $26.27 million from 3,514 theaters last night. That surpasses the opening nights of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ($22.2 million) and The Dark Knight ($18.4 million).

Will "New Moon" be able to pass up "Dark Knight's" $67.1 million single day record?

The Twilight books ripped off their premise from the Sookie Stackhouse novels, which came out first. Twilight is basically True Blood for tweeny-boppers.

I laugh in all the Batman fanboys faces as there the only ones getting upset over this. Batman fans are just as whiney, if not more than Twilight fans. At least Twi-fans are acting their ages while grown men weep over TDK.
