Just in from Warner Bros. Consumer Products is the news that an official Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit is coming:
Conveying the strength, elegance and awesome power of The Dark Knight, UD Replicas – the officially licensed division of Universal Designs Ltd. – has begun production on a replica Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit, and orders are being taken at the company's website, UDReplicas.com.
Produced under license from Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Comics, the Universal Designs Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit is a stunning recreation of one of the most iconic movie costumes of all time. The Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit comprises a full-leather jacket that includes lightweight interior lining, as well as molded-leather and Kevlar armor sections; pants that include heavy-duty, four-way stretch Spandex inserts and CE-approved armor; authentic gloves and boots that replicate the amazing on-screen design.
Each Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit can be customized to fit sizes ranging from XXS to XXL. Orders can be placed exclusively at UDReplicas.com, and each Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit retails for $998 U.S. (or $1,149 CDN for orders placed in Canada, United Kingdom and Australia). A maximum of 1,000 Dark Knight Motorcycle Suits will be created.
“No film of the 21st century has been as visually stunning as The Dark Knight, and we’re proud to be working directly with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to ensure accuracy and authenticity in every custom-made Motorcycle Suit,” said David Pea, owner of Universal Designs. “The Dark Knight is one of the highest-grossing movies all time, and continues to spark the imagination of fans everywhere.”
The Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit is an intricate, complex design, he added – one that has required the company to invent entirely new ways of working. “Although we are strictly limiting the quantity to 1,000 suits worldwide, we want each one to be of extraordinarily high quality, and that has meant creating new machinery and new production methods,” Pea said. “We couldn’t be bigger fans of Batman, so we’re very proud that Warner Bros. Consumer Products has given us such remarkable access to the original suit and the designs used in the production of the movie.”

I agree with RichWarn. If I ever actually saw a guy getting off a bike wearing that I'd think Superdouche.

Agree with Rob, Richman and David, because a cape and a cowl got ourselves a good costume. But i must admit that even if a look a guy with this and think "Superdouche", i'll be full of envy jajajajaja :D

Neat, it has "I'm a douchebag" written all over it.

As Happy Gilmore once said "If I saw myself in those clothes, I'd have to kick my own @$$".

Who in the hell would walk around in that? It's cool in the movies, but in real-life that would get you beaten by mobs of people.

I expect to see this on SO MANY fanboys. Especially the ones that are out of shape because the suit would make them seem like they haave muscles. XD

WOW, Did they really need the cod peice? I ride and i dont know anyone who would wear that while riding a motorcycle. they might sell it as a "motorcycle suit" but i bet it is meant for geeks and collectors, not motorcyclist.s

WHY would I want to buy this in the first place? I mean, I'm a Batman fan, but this is just cheesy to the point of permanent embarassment and prolonged psychological therapy.
Can you imagine seeing a Biker in his 20s, 30s, or above wearing one of these? Seriously, this person would have to be the biggest Batman fan in the world or someone who doesn't mind being made fun of.
But seriously, this would make for one truly awesome Batman costume. No doubt.

if i was like a little buff i would wear that thing, but with a helmet on, i wouldn't take it off, makes me mysterious and not looking for attention

Well i have no doubt that people will buy this and wear it, but I do doubt if they will own a motorcycle. More then likely they will own it as a great replica for a halloween costume. All they would need is the cape and the cowl. Now if a motorcycle company begins work on a Batpod, I would buy that. And quickly wrap it along with myself around a tree.

you ****in kidding me?

They should make one of Iron Man. And seriously, make it out of some sort of alloy so that if you are thrown off of a motorcycle, not even a bruise, let alone impact from the fall can be felt. That would be, in essence, the most practical and safest biker suit every produced by the hand of man. And you'd be covered head to toe, too. So...

I think the sentiment from everyone is that this biker suit will be nothing more and nothing less than just a really cool, authentic looking Batman Halloween costume at best. People will save themselves the embarassment of wearing this while going out for a stroll on their bike.
