The Sun's Semi-Annual Made-Up Batman Story
Source:Superhero Hype!
August 26, 2009
Last December it was Eddie Murphy (see here), today it's Megan Fox (here). Our suggestion to The Sun? Go all out and make up a story saying Superman will appear in the next Batman film. That would sell a lot of newspapers!
Anyways, moving on...

It's amazing what reporters and newspapers do for publicity and selling more copies. Using a giant thing (like Batman is as far as arts are considered) is just immature and shows lack of professionalism. Way to go Sun.

Ok, I noticed that you did mention the talented Shia Labeouf signed on as Robin also!! Man this is just gonna be soooo cool and we can have the batmobile really be Optimus Prime in disguise!!! Wow, Eddie Murphy, Shia Lapuke, Megan I can't act Fox and Optimus Prime all rolled up in a Batman Movie!! Somehow I'm getting flashbacks of the 60's Batman show with Adam West hahaha lol!!! Thanks Sun for the laugh, hey we all need to laugh once in awhile lol!!!

Catwoman would be great in the next movie, but I don't believe a word I read on that site. Eddie murphy, yeah right. And Meghan Fox . . .hot, but I don't think so. The Sun obviously has too much time on their hands and not nearly enough creativity to pull of something believable. Didn't you all hear? They got a real live crocodile to play Killer Croc! And Superman will be in it too, only it's a CGI Christopher Reeve! F**king dumb. How about we stop the speculation until the movie is actually in progress, dip ****s.

That Eddie Murphy link is great. Jim Carrey's Riddler with Eddie Murphy's head.....oh and of course white hands....wait maybe that's a riddle?

A bunch of crap from that brit tabloid. Wouldn't be bad to add Catwoman on the next Batman movie. Specially Bruce Wayne is still coping with the death of Ms. Dawson. But please, not Megan Fox or not even Angelina Jolie. They can also bring in Penguin. He may enter in Gotham as a legit businessman but with darker motives. He's charming English origin will compete against Batman's tarnished reputation after the Two-Face incident from Dark Knight. I suggest either Philip Seymour-Hoffman or Paul Giamatti. I think it's not the right time yet to feature Riddler since he's something quite like Joker. 1 or 2 villain I think is enough. Don't imitate Spiderman by bringing 3 misunderstood villains. If they want more darker story, they can choose from Hush, Black Mask and Holiday Killer as villains.

They could have at least made up a believable lie. Megan Fox. Pshaw!

Im from England and heres what Ive learned
The editor of the Sun has a hard on for Batman. He just prints stories to let people know his stupid casting ideas.
Emily Blunt for Catwoman
Marvels loss is our gain.

Patton Oswalt as Penguin. Nuff said.

I doubt Chris Nolan is that stupid... I doubt Catwoman will be a character at all. Least I hope not. Hiring Megan, or any known actress, would be a mistake anyway. I think Nolan is interested in moving Batman into the here and now... Joker is his biggest enemy, after him, the rest are kind of meh when it comes to being on film. i suspect Nolan will use a more recent baddie from the comics to keep Bats current and interesting. Again, I hope so.

If I were them I'd go the "Harvey's not really dead" route. Have him locked up in a basement cell in Arkham only to escape with the help of resident baddies. Or maybe even do a similar storyline to the new game but with Two Face as the ring leader. It could happen.

Here in the UK the Scum, sorry, Sun, has a long and lamentable history of making things up and passing them off as 'exclusives' so I wouldn't worry about these stories being anywhere close to true. The only thing more ridiculous than the stories are those pictures - a five year old with scissors and some glue could do better.

I thought the Eddie Murphy rumor got started by aintitcoolnews. Maybe I was assuming because they started the DiCaprio-as-Anakin rumor in 2000.
Incidentally, people, I wouldn't worry about this rumor being true. Besides the fact that it says right here the story is fake, Nolan is too respectable a director to work with someone like Fox. There's a reason she specializes in Michael Bay films.

If you click on the link to the Eddie Murphy story you'll see that the guy had originally written it back on Dec. 18, 2008 and the Sun just decided to reprint it. Not that it really matters as we all know it won't happen, but I've seen a lot of links like that on here that were very outdated, just not enough recent developments out there to keep us fanboys happy i guess.

However, I don't think the inclusion of Catwoman is as unlikely as some here think. Nolan threw a definite nod to the work of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale with TDK. For an idea of what he might do with the character, check out The Long Halloween and Dark Victory if you haven't already (hell, check them out anyway - two cracking books).

Hey-oh! : Harvey IS dead, per say. Two-Face lives on. I thought it was obvious!
Werewolf by night: Patton Oswalt??? WTF man?
Please, in the 60's series maybe...
nuff said chuckles!

You people forget: Chris Nolan hires people who can ACT. That's why Fox and Depp will never be in one of these.

I've taken my time to send the guy behind this article an E-mail to question his sources and to stop putting this rubbish out as he's not doing any good for the credibility of the sun....if it had any to begin with
