Did TDK win anything else over there?
Or at least nominated?
Posted by: Rodrigo on February 9, 2009 at 05:07:56
It was also nominated for Music and Cinematography. Nothing else.
Posted by: Rodrigo on February 9, 2009 at 05:13:03
Not even Christopher Nolan or Christian Bale were nominated. Why cant some awards just accept Superhero movies? Theyre movies just like the rest arent they. They do great jobs-Cast and Crew and hardly ever get a pat on the back.STUPID.

Nice, but Hans Zimmer is still no Danny Elfman.

Well I am glad that us brits got something right for a change. Its a shame TDK was snubbed, as having watched these so called 'better'films it is a shame it isn't nominated.

The Dark Knight was nominated for NINE BAFTAs. It won one. A travesty if you ask me, it would have won a lot more if the Curious Case of Benjamin Button had been excluded as a late entrant.

NINE baftas? Stupid b*****d told on the news 3 nominations...I feel like a fool...OH WELL

''well at least the BAFTAS acknowledge the TDK unlike those ponsy pr1cks at the Oscars.''
um germinator TDK was basically nominated in the same catagories in the BAFTAS as it has been for the oscars so yeah and it more likey will get an oscar for heath no doubt there anyway so its been acknowledged by both. some people hear are pissed off cause it didnt get a best pic nom i bet half of you havent even seen the films nominated i. i havent seen them all either but ive seen slumdog and it is a beautiful piece of work. TDK had its flaws yes it did ive heard people its more realistic then those nominated ok maybe so but to thos who say it based totally on reality well need their heads checked. two face alone in this one is the most outragous thing ever and i know its a comicbook film yes omg it is(sarcasam for those who seem to think its saving private ryan or something please) anyway for people saying its totally real its bull for one two face would die from infection and i dont mean to get technical but some people are going around saying its as based in reality as any true story. congrats heath. but my opinion is yes if was still here he would deserve every nomination he got but for those of you who bash anyone who thinks someone else should win thats fine their opinion but you can think that if he was still alive would he have actually won these awards is it really for the performence alone?? and dont start bashing me for this im trying to be respectful and well done for winning the awards but its not like any of the others nominated werent just as good so yeah end rant
Posted by: FilmFANatic on February 9, 2009 at 08:56:32
and you think christian bale deserves a best actor nod hell no he doesent he is forgetable apart from his growl and in no way does he deserve a best actor nod for tdk
Posted by: d on February 9, 2009 at 09:00:05
the oscars are stupid but I saw the movie for the first time a few weeks ago and it wasn't THAT great. Maybe an 8/10. I definitely don't see why people are upset it didn't get nominated for more oscars.. just because Heath died doesn't mean it deserves to win every award under the sun. It wasn't that great a movie.
Posted by: Poor Bale on February 9, 2009 at 09:04:17
Congrats to Heath, again. I wonder how Bale feels with his co-star snitching every award in the industry and nobody even mentioning his own performance as the title character. That's because it sucked as it did in Begins. Cancer throat voice, and overacted bad acting. "You are the one pointing the gun Harvey, so,err, point it, err, at the people, err, responsible, err"
Bale's paused way of delivering his lines is getting old. He does it in every role he plays.
But in any case, all the wards Heath is getting must be eating Bale inside, even if he says he's happy for Heath in interviews. Specially now that we know Bale's ego is bigger than God, we know he must hate that every time people talk Dark Knight they talk Nolan and Ledger. There was a article I think in Vanity fair about actors and their directors and the picture from the Dark Knight was Nolan and Ledger. bale plays the title character but the picture was Nolan and Ledger. That must hurt.
