The Latest False Batman Rumors
Source:Superhero Hype!
December 17, 2008
The UK tabloids strike again. One, who shall remain unnamed, is claiming that Eddie Murphy is playing The Riddler in the next Batman movie, that Shia LaBeouf will play Robin and that Rachel Weisz is up for the role of Catwoman. Not only that, but the tabloid says the movie will come out in 2010, and that the movie "will end on a cliffhanger over whether Batman survives a blast at Wayne Towers."
All of the above is, of course, not true. Moving on...

Don't bet on it being false. Kingpin was Black in the Daredevil movie.

I've been laughing over this for almost 8 mins, especially that "shia Leboeuf" response!

Was unable to stop myself from sending an e-mail to the guy who wrote the story.

I’m sorry but the news that “Eddie Murphy is the Riddler in a new Batman movie” is as laughable and it full of B.S. It’s no wonder that nobody (other than 15 year old boys looking for something to masturbate over) takes your “paper” seriously. Cheers for the laugh though…HaHaha…

I think Megan Fox would look great in a very curvy Batgirl suit. Screw LeBouf!

why not sell something believeable ateast? Like Heath Ledger left it in his will that if he were to die following tdk, that his prostate would be donated to patrick swayze so he could become the next joker.

Chris Nolan said himself that he doesnt know if there'll even be a thrid batman film. He said he'd do it in a heartbeat if he can think of a good enough story to go with so how bout we wait and let the dude who actually made the movies tell us whos gonna be in it? Just a thought

After I saw Transformers, I made a joke to my friends saying that Shia Lebouf would end up in every movie. And that Nolan would pass on Batman 3, the whole cast with him, kind of like Tim Burton and his Batman movies. Then a new director, probably Michael Bay, would come in, cast Jon Heder as the Riddler, Shia Lebouf as Robin, Megan Fox as Catwoman, John Tutorro as Commissioner Gordon, Jon Voight as Alfred and Tyrese or Josh Duhmalle as Batman. I know this is the cast of Transformers, but it still would not surprise me if something as stupid as that happened. As Michael Bay would say, it'd be "awesome" So even though this is probably false, I stil cant refrain from expressing how much i hate shia lebouf. Watch Transformers and count how many times he says "no." I also heard Michael Bay wrote a script for a Batman movie, so my prediction may not be so far off...let's hope it is

We need more brothas as super heroes. I vote for a Black Batman. "Dark Knight". From one brotha to another...Sounds black to me. Let's go with Mario Van Peebles as Batman and Elijah Kelley as Robin...Why not?
Posted by: Frodo on December 18, 2008 at 00:32:10
Lol. I was about ask if this was a sequel to Batman and Robin.

If these are confirmed rumors and nothing more then what is the point of posting them? Like there isn't already enough useless Batman news on this site.
Posted by: Observer on December 18, 2008 at 00:34:59
What's sad is that some people actually needed a website to tell them this wasn't true before they would completely dismiss it.
